መጽሐፈ ኩፋሌ 16:5
በዚህ ወር እግዚአብሔር በሰዶምና ገሞራ በጽቦዔምና በዮርዳኖስ አቅራቢያ ላሉ ሁሉ ፍርዱን አፈጸመ፤ በእሳትና በሰልፈር አቃጠላቸው እስከ ዛሬ ድረስ ያለውን ጥፋት አመጣባቸው። እንደ አሁን ለነገርኋችሁ ሥራቸው ሁሉ ምክንያት ነበር፤ ጨካኞችና ኃጢአተኞች ነበሩ፤ ራሳቸውን ያረክሱ በሥጋቸው የዘር ርኵሰ ሥራ ያደርጉ እና በምድር ላይ የሚጠሩ ርኵሰ ድርጊቶችን ያደርጉ ነበር።

He burned them with fire and brimstone and annihilated them until the present in accord with what I have now told you (about) all their actions — that they were savage and very sinful, (that) they would defile themselves, commit sexual sins in their flesh, and do what was impure on the earth.
