ያዕቆብ ግን በኬብሮን ተራራ ላይ፣ አባቱ አብርሃም እንግዳ ነው ብሎ ያለበት ምድር ውስጥ ባለው ምሽግ ኖረ። እግዚአብሔርን በሙሉ ልቡ አመለከተ፤ ትውልዱ እንደ ጊዜ መክፈያው ተከፍሎ እየታየ የሆኑትን ትእዛዛት ተከትሎ አገለገለ።
