ጌታ እንዲህ አዘዛቸው፤ በመክፈቻው ላይ የአንድ ዓመት ዕድሜ ያለ በግ ደም የተቀባ ማናቸውም ቤት እንዳይገቡ ለመግደል፣ ነገር ግን እንዲያልፉበት እና በዚያ ቤት ያሉት ሁሉ እንዲድኑ፤ ምክንያቱም የደሙ ምልክት በመክፈቻው ላይ ነበር።
