መጽሐፈ ኩፋሌ 50:10
ምክንያቱም በዚህ የበዓል ቀን መብላት፣ መጠጣት መርካት እንዲችሉ እና ከሰው ሥራ የሆነ ሁሉ ከእርሱ የሚያርፉ ይሆን ብሎ እግዚአብሔር ለእስራኤል የሰጠው ክብር ታላቅ ነው፤ ነገር ግን ዕጣን ማቃጠልና ቍርባንና መሥዋዕትን ለቀኖቹና ለሰንበታት በእግዚአብሔር ፊት ማቅረብ ብቻ ነው የሚፈቀደው።
