Liebt die Gerechtigkeit, ihr Richter der Erde: Denkt an den Herrn mit einem guten Herzen, und sucht ihn in Aufrichtigkeit des Herzens.

Love righteousness, ye that be judges of the earth: think of the Lord with a good (heart,) and in simplicity of heart seek him.

Denn er wird von denen gefunden, die ihn nicht versuchen; und er zeigt sich denen, die ihm vertrauen.

For he will be found of them that tempt him not; and sheweth himself unto such as do not distrust him.

Denn verkehrte Gedanken trennen von Gott, und seine Macht tadelt die Unklugen, wenn sie geprüft wird.

For froward thoughts separate from God: and his power, when it is tried, reproveth the unwise.

In eine boshafte Seele wird Weisheit nicht eintreten; noch verweilt sie in einem Körper, der der Sünde unterworfen ist.

For into a malicious soul wisdom shall not enter; nor dwell in the body that is subject unto sin.

Denn der heilige Geist der Zucht flieht die Täuschung und entfernt sich von unverständigen Gedanken und bleibt nicht, wenn die Ungerechtigkeit eintritt.

For the holy spirit of discipline will flee deceit, and remove from thoughts that are without understanding, and will not abide when unrighteousness cometh in.

Denn Weisheit ist ein liebender Geist und wird einen Lästerer nicht seiner Worte freisprechen: denn Gott ist Zeuge seiner Nieren, ein wahrer Beobachter seines Herzens und ein Hörer seiner Zunge.

For wisdom is a loving spirit; and will not acquit a blasphemer of his words: for God is witness of his reins, and a true beholder of his heart, and a hearer of his tongue.

Denn der Geist des Herrn erfüllt die Welt: und alles, was sie umfasst, kennt die Stimme.

For the Spirit of the Lord filleth the world: and that which containeth all things hath knowledge of the voice.

Deshalb kann derjenige, der ungerechte Dinge spricht, nicht verborgen bleiben; auch wird die Vergeltung, wenn sie bestraft, ihn nicht verschonen.

Therefore he that speaketh unrighteous things cannot be hid: neither shall vengeance, when it punisheth, pass by him.

Denn Nachforschungen werden über die Pläne der Gottlosen angestellt: und der Klang seiner Worte wird zum Herrn kommen zur Offenbarung seiner bösen Taten.

For inquisition shall be made into the counsels of the ungodly: and the sound of his words shall come unto the Lord for the manifestation of his wicked deeds.

Denn das Ohr des Misstrauens hört alles, und das Geräusch des Murrens ist nicht verborgen.

For the ear of jealousy heareth all things: and the noise of murmurings is not hid.

Hütet euch daher vor dem Murren, das unprofitabel ist; und haltet eure Zunge vom Lästermaul: denn kein Wort ist so verborgen, dass es umsonst wäre; und der Mund, der lügt, tötet die Seele.

Therefore beware of murmuring, which is unprofitable; and refrain your tongue from backbiting: for there is no word so secret, that shall go for nought: and the mouth that belieth slayeth the soul.

Sucht nicht den Tod im Irrtum eures Lebens; und zieht nicht die Vernichtung durch die Werke eurer Hände auf euch.

Seek not death in the error of your life: and pull not upon yourselves destruction with the works of your hands.

Denn Gott hat den Tod nicht gemacht; noch hat er Gefallen an der Zerstörung der Lebenden.

For God made not death: neither hath he pleasure in the destruction of the living.

Denn er hat alles geschaffen, damit sie existieren: und die Geschlechter der Welt waren gesund; und es gibt kein Gift der Zerstörung in ihnen, noch das Reich des Todes auf der Erde.

For he created all things, that they might have their being: and the generations of the world were healthful; and there is no poison of destruction in them, nor the kingdom of death upon the earth:

(Denn die Gerechtigkeit ist unsterblich:)

(For righteousness is immortal:)

Aber gottlose Menschen haben sie durch ihre Taten und Worte zu sich gerufen: denn als sie dachten, sie zu ihrem Freund zu machen, vergingen sie, und schlossen einen Bund mit ihr, weil sie es wert sind, an ihr teilzuhaben.

But ungodly men with their works and words called it to them: for when they thought to have it their friend, they consumed to nought, and made a covenant with it, because they are worthy to take part with it.
