Verse 22

For from day to day men came to David to help him, until there was a great host, like the host of God.

Gen 32:2 : 2 And Jacob said when he saw them, This is God's host: and he called the name of that place Mahanaim.
Josh 5:14 : 14 And he said, Nay; but [as] prince of the host of Jehovah am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?
2 Sam 2:2-4 : 2 So David went up thither, and his two wives also, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite. 3 And his men that were with him did David bring up, every man with his household: and they dwelt in the cities of Hebron. 4 And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, The men of Jabesh-gilead were they that buried Saul.
2 Sam 3:1 : 1 Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: and David waxed stronger and stronger, but the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.
Job 17:9 : 9 Yet shall the righteous hold on his way, And he that hath clean hands shall wax stronger and stronger.
Ps 148:2 : 2 Praise ye him, all his angels: Praise ye him, all his host.
