Verse 53

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

2 Cor 5:2-4 : 2 For verily in this we groan, longing to be clothed upon with our habitation which is from heaven: 3 if so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For indeed we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened; not for that we would be unclothed, but that we would be clothed upon, that what is mortal may be swallowed up of life.
1 John 3:2 : 2 Beloved, now are we children of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be. We know that, if he shall be manifested, we shall be like him; for we shall see him even as he is.
Gal 3:27 : 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ did put on Christ.
Eph 4:24 : 24 and put on the new man, that after God hath been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
Rom 2:7 : 7 to them that by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and incorruption, eternal life:
Rom 13:12-14 : 12 The night is far spent, and the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in revelling and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy. 14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof] .
