Verse 17

For it is better, if the will of God should so will, that ye suffer for well-doing than for evil-doing.

1 Pet 2:15 : 15 For so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
1 Pet 2:20 : 20 For what glory is it, if, when ye sin, and are buffeted [for it], ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer [for it], ye shall take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
1 Pet 3:14 : 14 But even if ye should suffer for righteousness' sake, blessed [are ye]: and fear not their fear, neither be troubled;
1 Pet 4:19 : 19 Wherefore let them also that suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing unto a faithful Creator.
Matt 26:39 : 39 And he went forward a little, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass away from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Matt 26:42 : 42 Again a second time he went away, and prayed, saying, My Father, if this cannot pass away, except I drink it, thy will be done.
Acts 21:14 : 14 And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.
