Verse 3

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh

2 Tim 2:3-4 : 3 Suffer hardship with [me], as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 No soldier on service entangleth himself in the affairs of [this] life; that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.
1 Pet 4:1-2 : 1 Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; 2 that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
1 Tim 1:18 : 18 This charge I commit unto thee, my child Timothy, according to the prophecies which led the way to thee, that by them thou mayest war the good warfare;
2 Tim 4:7 : 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith:
Rom 8:13 : 13 for if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
2 Cor 10:4 : 4 (for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the casting down of strongholds),
Gal 2:20 : 20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me: and that [life] which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, [the faith] which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
Heb 12:1 : 1 Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
