Verse 12

Then came the disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, when they heard this saying?

1 Kgs 22:13-14 : 13 And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets [declare] good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak thou good. 14 And Micaiah said, As Jehovah liveth, what Jehovah saith unto me, that will I speak.
Matt 17:27 : 27 But, lest we cause them to stumble, go thou to the sea, and cast a hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a shekel: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
1 Cor 10:32-33 : 32 Give no occasions of stumbling, either to Jews, or to Greeks, or to the church of God: 33 even as I also please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the [profit] of the many, that they may be saved.
2 Cor 6:3 : 3 giving no occasion of stumbling in anything, that our ministration be not blamed;
Gal 2:5 : 5 to whom we gave place in the way of subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.
Jas 3:17 : 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.
