Who smote many nations, And slew mighty kings,

Ps 136:17-22 : 17 To him that smote great kings; For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever; 18 And slew famous kings; For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever: 19 Sihon king of the Amorites; For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever; 20 And Og king of Bashan; For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever; 21 And gave their land for a heritage; For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever; 22 Even a heritage unto Israel his servant; For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever:
Num 21:24 : 24 And Israel smote him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from the Arnon unto the Jabbok, even unto the children of Ammon; for the border of the children of Ammon was strong.
Ps 44:2-3 : 2 Thou didst drive out the nations with thy hand; But them thou didst plant: Thou didst afflict the peoples; But them thou didst spread abroad. 3 For they gat not the land in possession by their own sword, Neither did their own arm save them; But thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, Because thou wast favorable unto them.
