Verse 5

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were through the law, wrought in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

Rom 7:23 : 23 but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 8:8-9 : 8 and they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
