Then the king{H4428} of Israel{H3478} gathered the prophets{H5030} together,{H6908} four{H702} hundred{H3967} men,{H376} and said{H559} unto them, Shall we go{H3212} to Ramoth-gilead{H7433} to battle,{H4421} or shall I forbear?{H2308} And they said,{H559} Go up;{H5927} for God{H430} will deliver{H5414} it into the hand{H3027} of the king.{H4428}

Jer 38:14-28 : 14 Then Zedekiah{H6667} the king{H4428} sent,{H7971} and took{H3947} Jeremiah{H3414} the prophet{H5030} unto him into the third{H7992} entry{H3996} that is in the house{H1004} of Jehovah:{H3068} and the king{H4428} said{H559} unto Jeremiah,{H3414} I will ask{H7592} thee a thing;{H1697} hide{H3582} nothing from me. 15 Then Jeremiah{H3414} said{H559} unto Zedekiah,{H6667} If I declare{H5046} it unto thee, wilt thou not surely{H4191} put me to death?{H4191} and if I give thee counsel,{H3289} thou wilt not hearken{H8085} unto me. 16 So Zedekiah{H6667} the king{H4428} sware{H7650} secretly{H5643} unto Jeremiah,{H3414} saying,{H559} As Jehovah{H3068} liveth,{H2416} that made{H6213} us this soul,{H5315} I will not put thee to death,{H4191} neither will I give{H5414} thee into the hand{H3027} of these men{H582} that seek{H1245} thy life.{H5315} 17 Then said{H559} Jeremiah{H3414} unto Zedekiah,{H6667} Thus saith{H559} Jehovah,{H3068} the God{H430} of hosts,{H6635} the God{H430} of Israel:{H3478} If thou wilt{H3318} go forth{H3318} unto the king{H4428} of Babylon's{H894} princes,{H8269} then thy soul{H5315} shall live,{H2421} and this city{H5892} shall not be burned{H8313} with fire;{H784} and thou shalt live,{H2421} and thy house.{H1004} 18 But if thou wilt not go forth{H3318} to the king{H4428} of Babylon's{H894} princes,{H8269} then shall this city{H5892} be given{H5414} into the hand{H3027} of the Chaldeans,{H3778} and they shall burn{H8313} it with fire,{H784} and thou shalt not escape out{H4422} of their hand.{H3027} 19 And Zedekiah{H6667} the king{H4428} said{H559} unto Jeremiah,{H3414} I am afraid{H1672} of the Jews{H3064} that are fallen{H5307} away to the Chaldeans,{H3778} lest they deliver{H5414} me into their hand,{H3027} and they mock{H5953} me. 20 But Jeremiah{H3414} said,{H559} They shall not deliver{H5414} thee. Obey,{H8085} I beseech thee, the voice{H6963} of Jehovah,{H3068} in that which I speak{H1696} unto thee: so it shall be well{H3190} with thee, and thy soul{H5315} shall live.{H2421} 21 But if thou refuse{H3986} to go forth,{H3318} this is the word{H1697} that Jehovah{H3068} hath showed{H7200} me: 22 behold, all the women{H802} that are left{H7604} in the king{H4428} of Judah's{H3063} house{H1004} shall be brought forth{H3318} to the king{H4428} of Babylon's{H894} princes,{H8269} and those women shall say,{H559} Thy familiar friends{H582} have set thee on,{H5496} and have prevailed{H3201} over thee: [now that] thy feet{H7272} are sunk{H2883} in the mire,{H1206} they are turned away{H5472} back.{H268} 23 And they shall bring out{H3318} all thy wives{H802} and thy children{H1121} to the Chaldeans;{H3778} and thou shalt not escape out{H4422} of their hand,{H3027} but shalt be taken{H8610} by the hand{H3027} of the king{H4428} of Babylon:{H894} and thou shalt cause this city{H5892} to be burned{H8313} with fire.{H784} 24 Then said{H559} Zedekiah{H6667} unto Jeremiah,{H3414} Let no man{H376} know{H3045} of these words,{H1697} and thou shalt not die.{H4191} 25 But if the princes{H8269} hear{H8085} that I have talked{H1696} with thee, and they come{H935} unto thee, and say{H559} unto thee, Declare{H5046} unto us now what thou hast said{H1696} unto the king;{H4428} hide{H3582} it not from us, and we will not put thee to death;{H4191} also what the king{H4428} said{H1696} unto thee: 26 then thou shalt say{H559} unto them, I presented{H5307} my supplication{H8467} before{H6440} the king,{H4428} that he would not cause me to return{H7725} to Jonathan's{H3083} house,{H1004} to die{H4191} there. 27 Then came{H935} all the princes{H8269} unto Jeremiah,{H3414} and asked{H7592} him; and he told{H5046} them according to all these words{H1697} that the king{H4428} had commanded.{H6680} So they left off speaking{H2790} with him; for the matter{H1697} was not perceived.{H8085} 28 So Jeremiah{H3414} abode{H3427} in the court{H2691} of the guard{H4307} until the day{H3117} that Jerusalem{H3389} was taken.{H3920}
Jer 42:2-3 : 2 and said{H559} unto Jeremiah{H3414} the prophet,{H5030} Let, we pray thee, our supplication{H8467} be presented{H5307} before{H6440} thee, and pray{H6419} for us unto Jehovah{H3068} thy God,{H430} even for all this remnant;{H7611} for we are left{H7604} but a few{H4592} of many,{H7235} as thine eyes{H5869} do behold{H7200} us: 3 that Jehovah{H3068} thy God{H430} may show{H5046} us the way{H1870} wherein we should walk,{H3212} and the thing{H1697} that we should do.{H6213}
Jer 42:20 : 20 For ye have dealt deceitfully{H8582} against your own souls;{H5315} for ye sent{H7971} me unto Jehovah{H3068} your God,{H430} saying,{H559} Pray{H6419} for us unto Jehovah{H3068} our God;{H430} and according unto all that Jehovah{H3068} our God{H430} shall say,{H559} so declare{H5046} unto us, and we will do{H6213} it:
Ezek 13:3-9 : 3 Thus saith{H559} the Lord{H136} Jehovah,{H3069} Woe{H1945} unto the foolish{H5036} prophets,{H5030} that follow{H1980} their own spirit,{H7307} and have seen{H7200} nothing! 4 O Israel,{H3478} thy prophets{H5030} have been like foxes{H7776} in the waste places.{H2723} 5 Ye have not gone up{H5927} into the gaps,{H6556} neither built up{H1443} the wall{H1447} for the house{H1004} of Israel,{H3478} to stand{H5975} in the battle{H4421} in the day{H3117} of Jehovah.{H3068} 6 They have seen{H2372} falsehood{H7723} and lying{H3577} divination,{H7081} that say,{H559} Jehovah{H3068} saith;{H5002} but Jehovah{H3068} hath not sent{H7971} them: and they have made men to hope{H3176} that the word{H1697} would be confirmed.{H6965} 7 Have ye not seen{H2372} a false{H7723} vision,{H4236} and have ye not spoken{H1696} a lying{H3577} divination,{H4738} in that ye say,{H559} Jehovah{H3068} saith;{H5002} albeit I have not spoken?{H559} 8 Therefore thus saith{H559} the Lord{H136} Jehovah:{H3069} Because ye have spoken{H1696} falsehood,{H7723} and seen{H2372} lies,{H3577} therefore, behold, I am against you, saith{H5002} the Lord{H136} Jehovah.{H3069} 9 And my hand{H3027} shall be against the prophets{H5030} that see{H2374} false{H7723} visions, and that divine{H7080} lies:{H3577} they shall not be in the council{H5475} of my people,{H5971} neither shall they be written{H3789} in the writing{H3791} of the house{H1004} of Israel,{H3478} neither shall they enter{H935} into the land{H127} of Israel;{H3478} and ye shall know{H3045} that I am the Lord{H136} Jehovah.{H3069} 10 Because, even because they have seduced{H2937} my people,{H5971} saying,{H559} Peace;{H7965} and there is no peace;{H7965} and when one buildeth up{H1129} a wall,{H2434} behold,{H2009} they daub{H2902} it with untempered{H8602} [mortar]: 11 say{H559} unto them that daub{H2902} it with untempered{H8602} [mortar], that it shall fall:{H5307} there shall be an overflowing{H7857} shower;{H1653} and ye,{H859} O great hailstones,{H417} shall fall;{H5307} and a stormy{H5591} wind{H7307} shall rend{H1234} it. 12 Lo, when the wall{H7023} is fallen,{H5307} shall it not be said{H559} unto you, Where is the daubing{H2915} wherewith ye have daubed{H2902} it? 13 Therefore thus saith{H559} the Lord{H136} Jehovah:{H136} I will even rend{H1234} it with a stormy{H5591} wind{H7307} in my wrath;{H2534} and there shall be an overflowing{H7857} shower{H1653} in mine anger,{H639} and great hailstones{H417} in wrath{H2534} to consume{H3617} it. 14 So will I break down{H2040} the wall{H7023} that ye have daubed{H2902} with untempered{H8602} [mortar], and bring{H5060} it down to the ground,{H776} so that the foundation{H3247} thereof shall be uncovered;{H1540} and it shall fall,{H5307} and ye shall be consumed{H3615} in the midst{H8432} thereof: and ye shall know{H3045} that I am Jehovah.{H3068} 15 Thus will I accomplish{H3615} my wrath{H2534} upon the wall,{H7023} and upon them that have daubed{H2902} it with untempered{H8602} [mortar]; and I will say{H559} unto you, The wall{H7023} is no more, neither they that daubed{H2902} it; 16 [ to wit], the prophets{H5030} of Israel{H3478} that prophesy{H5012} concerning Jerusalem,{H3389} and that see{H2374} visions{H2377} of peace{H7965} for her, and there is no peace,{H7965} saith{H5002} the Lord{H136} Jehovah.{H3069}
Ezek 13:22 : 22 Because with lies{H8267} ye have grieved{H3512} the heart{H3820} of the righteous,{H6662} whom I have not made sad;{H3512} and strengthened{H2388} the hands{H3027} of the wicked,{H7451} that he should not return{H7725} from his wicked{H7563} way,{H1870} and be saved alive;{H2421}
