And this house,{H1004} which is so high,{H5945} every one that passeth{H5674} by it shall be astonished,{H8074} and shall say,{H559} Why hath Jehovah{H3068} done{H6213} thus unto this land,{H776} and to this house?{H1004}

2 Chr 29:8 : 8 Wherefore the wrath{H7110} of Jehovah{H3068} was upon Judah{H3063} and Jerusalem,{H3389} and he hath delivered{H5414} them to be tossed{H2189} to and fro, to be an astonishment,{H8047} and a hissing,{H8322} as ye see{H7200} with your eyes.{H5869}
Jer 5:19 : 19 And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say,{H559} Wherefore{H8478} hath Jehovah{H3068} our God{H430} done{H6213} all these things unto us? then shalt thou say{H559} unto them, Like as ye have forsaken{H5800} me, and served{H5647} foreign{H5236} gods{H430} in your land,{H776} so shall ye serve{H5647} strangers{H2114} in a land{H776} that is not yours.
