Isa 9:15 : 15 The elder{H2205} and the honorable{H6440} man, he{H1931} is the head;{H7218} and the prophet{H5030} that teacheth{H3384} lies,{H8267} he is the tail.{H2180}
Isa 56:10-11 : 10 His watchmen{H6822} are blind,{H5787} they are all without knowledge;{H3045} they are all dumb{H483} dogs,{H3611} they cannot{H3201} bark;{H5024} dreaming,{H1957} lying down,{H7901} loving{H157} to slumber.{H5123} 11 Yea, the dogs{H3611} are greedy,{H5794} they can{H3045} never have{H3045} enough;{H7654} and these are shepherds{H7462} that cannot understand:{H995} they have all turned{H6437} to their own way,{H1870} each one{H376} to his gain,{H1215} from every quarter.{H7097}
Jer 14:13-15 : 13 Then said{H559} I, Ah,{H162} Lord{H136} Jehovah!{H3069} behold, the prophets{H5030} say{H559} unto them, Ye shall not see{H7200} the sword,{H2719} neither shall ye have famine;{H7458} but I will give{H5414} you assured{H571} peace{H7965} in this place.{H4725} 14 Then Jehovah{H3068} said{H559} unto me, The prophets{H5030} prophesy{H5012} lies{H8267} in my name;{H8034} I sent{H7971} them not, neither have I commanded{H6680} them, neither spake{H1696} I unto them: they prophesy{H5012} unto you a lying{H8267} vision,{H2377} and divination,{H7081} and a thing of nought,{H457} and the deceit{H8649} of their own heart.{H3820} 15 Therefore thus saith{H559} Jehovah{H3068} concerning the prophets{H5030} that prophesy{H5012} in my name,{H8034} and I sent{H7971} them not, yet they say,{H559} Sword{H2719} and famine{H7458} shall not be in this land:{H776} By sword{H2719} and famine{H7458} shall those prophets{H5030} be consumed.{H8552}
Jer 23:16-17 : 16 Thus saith{H559} Jehovah{H3068} of hosts,{H6635} Hearken{H8085} not unto the words{H1697} of the prophets{H5030} that prophesy{H5012} unto you: they teach you vanity;{H1891} they speak{H1696} a vision{H2377} of their own heart,{H3820} and not out of the mouth{H6310} of Jehovah.{H3068} 17 They say{H559} continually{H559} unto them that despise{H5006} me, Jehovah{H3068} hath said,{H1696} Ye shall have peace;{H7965} and unto every one that walketh{H1980} in the stubbornness{H8307} of his own heart{H3820} they say,{H559} No evil{H7451} shall come{H935} upon you.
Jer 23:25-32 : 25 I have heard{H8085} what the prophets{H5030} have said,{H559} that prophesy{H5012} lies{H8267} in my name,{H8034} saying,{H559} I have dreamed,{H2492} I have dreamed.{H2492} 26 How long shall this be{H3426} in the heart{H3820} of the prophets{H5030} that prophesy{H5012} lies,{H8267} even the prophets{H5030} of the deceit{H8649} of their own heart?{H3820} 27 that think{H2803} to cause my people{H5971} to forget{H7911} my name{H8034} by their dreams{H2472} which they tell{H5608} every man{H376} to his neighbor,{H7453} as their fathers{H1} forgat{H7911} my name{H8034} for Baal.{H1168} 28 The prophet{H5030} that hath a dream,{H2472} let him tell{H5608} a dream;{H2472} and he that hath my word,{H1697} let him speak{H1696} my word{H1697} faithfully.{H571} What is the straw{H8401} to the wheat?{H1250} saith{H5002} Jehovah.{H3068} 29 Is not my word{H1697} like{H3541} fire?{H784} saith{H5002} Jehovah;{H3068} and like a hammer{H6360} that breaketh{H6327} the rock{H5553} in pieces?{H6327} 30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets,{H5030} saith{H5002} Jehovah,{H3068} that steal{H1589} my words{H1697} every one{H376} from his neighbor.{H7453} 31 Behold, I am against the prophets,{H5030} saith{H5002} Jehovah,{H3068} that use{H3947} their tongues,{H3956} and say,{H5001} He saith.{H5002} 32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy{H5012} lying{H8267} dreams,{H2472} saith{H5002} Jehovah,{H3068} and do tell{H5608} them, and cause my people{H5971} to err{H8582} by their lies,{H8267} and by their vain boasting:{H6350} yet I sent{H7971} them not, nor commanded{H6680} them; neither do they profit{H3276} this people{H5971} at all,{H3276} saith{H5002} Jehovah.{H3068}
Jer 27:14-15 : 14 And hearken{H8085} not unto the words{H1697} of the prophets{H5030} that speak{H559} unto you, saying,{H559} Ye shall not serve{H5647} the king{H4428} of Babylon;{H894} for they prophesy{H5012} a lie{H8267} unto you. 15 For I have not sent{H7971} them, saith{H5002} Jehovah,{H3068} but they prophesy{H5012} falsely{H8267} in my name;{H8034} that I may drive you out,{H5080} and that ye may perish,{H6} ye, and the prophets{H5030} that prophesy{H5012} unto you.
Jer 28:15-17 : 15 Then said{H559} the prophet{H5030} Jeremiah{H3414} unto Hananiah{H2608} the prophet,{H5030} Hear{H8085} now, Hananiah:{H2608} Jehovah{H3068} hath not sent{H7971} thee; but thou makest this people{H5971} to trust{H982} in a lie.{H8267} 16 Therefore thus saith{H559} Jehovah,{H3068} Behold, I will send{H7971} thee away from off the face{H6440} of the earth:{H127} this year{H8141} thou shalt die,{H4191} because thou hast spoken{H1696} rebellion{H5627} against Jehovah.{H3068} 17 So Hananiah{H2608} the prophet{H5030} died{H4191} the same year{H8141} in the seventh{H7637} month.{H2320}
Jer 29:8-9 : 8 For thus saith{H559} Jehovah{H3068} of hosts,{H6635} the God{H430} of Israel:{H3478} Let not your prophets{H5030} that are in the midst{H7130} of you, and your diviners,{H7080} deceive{H5377} you; neither hearken{H8085} ye to your dreams{H2472} which ye cause to be dreamed.{H2492} 9 For they prophesy{H5012} falsely{H8267} unto you in my name:{H8034} I have not sent{H7971} them, saith{H5002} Jehovah.{H3068}
Jer 29:31-32 : 31 Send{H7971} to all them of the captivity,{H1473} saying,{H559} Thus saith{H559} Jehovah{H3068} concerning Shemaiah{H8098} the Nehelamite:{H5161} Because that Shemaiah{H8098} hath prophesied{H5012} unto you, and I sent{H7971} him not, and he hath caused you to trust{H982} in a lie;{H8267} 32 therefore thus saith{H559} Jehovah,{H3068} Behold, I will punish{H6485} Shemaiah{H8098} the Nehelamite,{H5161} and his seed;{H2233} he shall not have a man{H376} to dwell{H3427} among{H8432} this people,{H5971} neither shall he behold{H7200} the good{H2896} that I will do{H6213} unto my people,{H5971} saith{H5002} Jehovah,{H3068} because he hath spoken{H1696} rebellion{H5627} against Jehovah.{H3068}
Jer 37:19 : 19 Where now{H346} are your prophets{H5030} that prophesied{H5012} unto you, saying,{H559} The king{H4428} of Babylon{H894} shall not come{H935} against you, nor against this land?{H776}
Lam 2:14 : 14 Thy prophets{H5030} have seen{H2372} for thee false{H7723} and foolish visions;{H8602} And they have not uncovered{H1540} thine iniquity,{H5771} to bring back{H7725} thy captivity,{H7622} But have seen{H2372} for thee false{H7723} oracles{H4864} and causes of banishment.{H4065}
Ezek 13:3-9 : 3 Thus saith{H559} the Lord{H136} Jehovah,{H3069} Woe{H1945} unto the foolish{H5036} prophets,{H5030} that follow{H1980} their own spirit,{H7307} and have seen{H7200} nothing! 4 O Israel,{H3478} thy prophets{H5030} have been like foxes{H7776} in the waste places.{H2723} 5 Ye have not gone up{H5927} into the gaps,{H6556} neither built up{H1443} the wall{H1447} for the house{H1004} of Israel,{H3478} to stand{H5975} in the battle{H4421} in the day{H3117} of Jehovah.{H3068} 6 They have seen{H2372} falsehood{H7723} and lying{H3577} divination,{H7081} that say,{H559} Jehovah{H3068} saith;{H5002} but Jehovah{H3068} hath not sent{H7971} them: and they have made men to hope{H3176} that the word{H1697} would be confirmed.{H6965} 7 Have ye not seen{H2372} a false{H7723} vision,{H4236} and have ye not spoken{H1696} a lying{H3577} divination,{H4738} in that ye say,{H559} Jehovah{H3068} saith;{H5002} albeit I have not spoken?{H559} 8 Therefore thus saith{H559} the Lord{H136} Jehovah:{H3069} Because ye have spoken{H1696} falsehood,{H7723} and seen{H2372} lies,{H3577} therefore, behold, I am against you, saith{H5002} the Lord{H136} Jehovah.{H3069} 9 And my hand{H3027} shall be against the prophets{H5030} that see{H2374} false{H7723} visions, and that divine{H7080} lies:{H3577} they shall not be in the council{H5475} of my people,{H5971} neither shall they be written{H3789} in the writing{H3791} of the house{H1004} of Israel,{H3478} neither shall they enter{H935} into the land{H127} of Israel;{H3478} and ye shall know{H3045} that I am the Lord{H136} Jehovah.{H3069} 10 Because, even because they have seduced{H2937} my people,{H5971} saying,{H559} Peace;{H7965} and there is no peace;{H7965} and when one buildeth up{H1129} a wall,{H2434} behold,{H2009} they daub{H2902} it with untempered{H8602} [mortar]: 11 say{H559} unto them that daub{H2902} it with untempered{H8602} [mortar], that it shall fall:{H5307} there shall be an overflowing{H7857} shower;{H1653} and ye,{H859} O great hailstones,{H417} shall fall;{H5307} and a stormy{H5591} wind{H7307} shall rend{H1234} it. 12 Lo, when the wall{H7023} is fallen,{H5307} shall it not be said{H559} unto you, Where is the daubing{H2915} wherewith ye have daubed{H2902} it? 13 Therefore thus saith{H559} the Lord{H136} Jehovah:{H136} I will even rend{H1234} it with a stormy{H5591} wind{H7307} in my wrath;{H2534} and there shall be an overflowing{H7857} shower{H1653} in mine anger,{H639} and great hailstones{H417} in wrath{H2534} to consume{H3617} it. 14 So will I break down{H2040} the wall{H7023} that ye have daubed{H2902} with untempered{H8602} [mortar], and bring{H5060} it down to the ground,{H776} so that the foundation{H3247} thereof shall be uncovered;{H1540} and it shall fall,{H5307} and ye shall be consumed{H3615} in the midst{H8432} thereof: and ye shall know{H3045} that I am Jehovah.{H3068} 15 Thus will I accomplish{H3615} my wrath{H2534} upon the wall,{H7023} and upon them that have daubed{H2902} it with untempered{H8602} [mortar]; and I will say{H559} unto you, The wall{H7023} is no more, neither they that daubed{H2902} it; 16 [ to wit], the prophets{H5030} of Israel{H3478} that prophesy{H5012} concerning Jerusalem,{H3389} and that see{H2374} visions{H2377} of peace{H7965} for her, and there is no peace,{H7965} saith{H5002} the Lord{H136} Jehovah.{H3069} 17 And thou, son{H1121} of man,{H120} set{H7760} thy face{H6440} against the daughters{H1323} of thy people,{H5971} that prophesy{H5012} out of their own heart;{H3820} and prophesy{H5012} thou against them, 18 and say,{H559} Thus saith{H559} the Lord{H136} Jehovah:{H136} Woe{H1945} to the women that sew{H8609} pillows{H3704} upon all elbows,{H679} and make{H6213} kerchiefs{H4555} for the head{H7218} of [persons of] every stature{H6967} to hunt{H6679} souls!{H5315} Will ye hunt{H6679} the souls{H5315} of my people,{H5971} and save{H2421} souls{H5315} alive{H2421} for yourselves?
Hos 9:8 : 8 Ephraim{H669} [was] a watchman{H6822} with my God:{H430} as for the prophet,{H5030} a fowler's{H3352} snare{H6341} is in all his ways,{H1870} [and] enmity{H4895} in the house{H1004} of his God.{H430}
Mic 2:11 : 11 If{H3863} a man{H376} walking{H1980} in a spirit{H7307} of falsehood{H8267} do lie,{H3576} [saying], I will prophesy{H5197} unto thee of wine{H3196} and of strong drink;{H7941} he shall even be the prophet{H5197} of this people.{H5971}
Mic 3:5 : 5 Thus saith{H559} Jehovah{H3068} concerning the prophets{H5030} that make my people{H5971} to err;{H8582} that bite{H5391} with their teeth,{H8127} and cry,{H7121} Peace;{H7965} and whoso putteth{H5414} not into their mouths,{H6310} they even prepare{H6942} war{H4421} against him:
Mic 3:11 : 11 The heads{H7218} thereof judge{H8199} for reward,{H7810} and the priests{H3548} thereof teach{H3384} for hire,{H4242} and the prophets{H5030} thereof divine{H7080} for money:{H3701} yet they lean{H8172} upon Jehovah,{H3068} and say,{H559} Is not Jehovah{H3068} in the midst{H7130} of us? no evil{H7451} shall come{H935} upon us.
Zech 13:3-4 : 3 And it shall come to pass that, when any{H376} shall yet prophesy,{H5012} then his father{H1} and his mother{H517} that begat{H3205} him shall say{H559} unto him, Thou shalt not live;{H2421} for thou speakest{H1696} lies{H8267} in the name{H8034} of Jehovah;{H3068} and his father{H1} and his mother{H517} that begat{H3205} him shall thrust{H1856} him through when he prophesieth.{H5012} 4 And it shall come to pass in that day,{H3117} that the prophets{H5030} shall be ashamed{H954} every one{H376} of his vision,{H2384} when he prophesieth;{H5012} neither shall they wear{H3847} a hairy{H8181} mantle{H155} to deceive:{H3584}
Mal 3:5 : 5 And I will come near{H7126} to you to judgment;{H4941} and I will be a swift{H4116} witness{H5707} against the sorcerers,{H3784} and against the adulterers,{H5003} and against the false{H8267} swearers,{H7650} and against those that oppress{H6231} the hireling{H7916} in his wages,{H7939} the widow,{H490} and the fatherless,{H3490} and that turn aside{H5186} the sojourner{H1616} [from his right], and fear{H3372} not me, saith{H559} Jehovah{H3068} of hosts.{H6635}
