of all the children{H1121} of Israel,{H3478} have I taken{H3947} them unto me. 17 For all the first-born{H1060} among the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} are mine, both man{H120} and beast:{H929} on the day{H3117} that I smote{H5221} all the first-born{H1060} in the land{H776} of Egypt{H4714} I sanctified{H6942} them for myself. 18 And I have taken{H3947} the Levites{H3881} instead of all the first-born{H1060} among the children{H1121} of Israel.{H3478} 19 And I have given{H5414} the Levites{H3881} as a gift{H5414} to Aaron{H175} and to his sons{H1121} from among{H8432} the children{H1121} of Israel,{H3478} to do{H5647} the service{H5656} of the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} in the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} and to make atonement{H3722} for the children{H1121} of Israel;{H3478} offered{H5130} them for a wave-offering{H8573} before{H6440} Jehovah;{H3068} and Aaron{H175} made atonement{H3722} for them to cleanse{H2891} them. 22 And after{H310} that went{H935} the Levites{H3881} in to do{H5647} their service{H5656} in the tent{H168} of meeting{H4150} before{H6440} Aaron,{H175} and before{H6440} his sons:{H1121} as Jehovah{H3068} had commanded{H6680} Moses{H4872} concerning the Levites,{H3881} so did{H6213} they unto them. 23 And Jehovah{H3068} spake{H1696} unto Moses,{H4872} saying,{H559} 24 This is that which belongeth unto the Levites:{H3881} from twenty{H6242} and five{H2568} years{H8141} old{H1121} and upward{H4605} they shall go in{H935} to wait{H6633} upon the service{H5656} in the work of the tent{H168} of meeting:{H4150} 25 and from the age{H1121} of fifty{H2572} years{H8141} they shall cease{H7725} waiting{H6635} upon the work,{H5656} and shall serve{H5647} no more, 26 but shall minister{H8334} with their brethren{H251} in the every male{H2145} shall eat{H398} thereof: it shall be holy{H6944} unto thee. 11 And this is thine: the heave-offering{H8641} of their gift,{H4976} even all the wave-offerings{H8573} of the children{H1121} of Israel;{H3478} I have given{H5414} them unto thee, and to thy sons{H1121} and to thy daughters{H1323} with thee, as a portion{H2706} for ever;{H5769} every one that is clean{H2889} in thy house{H1004} shall eat{H398} thereof. 12 All the best{H2459} of the oil,{H3323} and all the best{H2459} of the vintage,{H8492} and of the grain,{H1715} the first-fruits{H7225} of them which they give{H5414} unto Jehovah,{H3068} to thee have I given{H5414} them. 13 The first-ripe{H1061} fruits of all that is in their land,{H776} which they bring{H935} unto Jehovah,{H3068} shall be thine; every one that is clean{H2889} in thy house{H1004} shall eat{H398} thereof. 14 Everything devoted{H2764} in Israel{H3478} shall be thine. 15 Everything that openeth{H6363} the womb,{H7358} of all flesh{H1320} which they offer{H7126} unto Jehovah,{H3068} both of man{H120} and beast{H929} shall be thine: nevertheless the first-born{H1060} of man{H120} shalt thou surely{H6299} redeem,{H6299} and the firstling{H1060} of unclean{H2931} beasts{H929} shalt thou redeem.{H6299} 16 And those that are to be redeemed{H6299} of them from a month{H2320} old{H1121} shalt thou redeem,{H6299} according to thine estimation,{H6187} for the money{H3701} of five{H2568} shekels,{H8255} after the shekel{H8255} of the sanctuary{H6944} (the same is twenty{H6242} gerahs).{H1626} 17 But the firstling{H1060} of a cow,{H7794} or the firstling{H1060} of a sheep,{H3775} or the firstling{H1060} of a goat,{H5795} thou shalt not redeem;{H6299} they are holy:{H6944} thou shalt sprinkle{H2236} their blood{H1818} upon the altar,{H4196} and shalt burn{H6999} their fat{H2459} for an offering made by fire,{H801} for a sweet{H5207} savor{H7381} unto Jehovah.{H3068} 18 And the flesh{H1320} of them shall be thine, as the wave -{H8573} breast{H2373} and as the right{H3225} thigh,{H7785} it shall be thine. 19 All the heave-offerings{H8641} of the holy things,{H6944} which the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} offer{H7311} unto Jehovah,{H3068} have I given{H5414} thee, and thy sons{H1121} and thy daughters{H1323} with thee, as a portion{H2706} for ever:{H5769} it is a covenant{H1285} of salt{H4417} for ever{H5769} before{H6440} Jehovah{H3068} unto thee and to thy seed{H2233} with thee. 20 And Jehovah{H3068} said{H559} unto Aaron,{H175} Thou shalt have no inheritance{H5157} in their land,{H776} neither shalt thou have any portion{H2506} among{H8432} them: I am thy portion{H2506} and thine inheritance{H5159} among{H8432} the children{H1121} of Israel.{H3478} 21 And unto the children{H1121} of Levi,{H3878} behold, I have given{H5414} all the tithe in Israel{H3478} for{H2500} an inheritance,{H5159} in return for{H2500} their service{H5656} which they serve,{H5647} even the service{H5656} of the tent{H168} of meeting.{H4150} 22 And henceforth{H5750} the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} shall not come nigh{H7126} the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} lest they bear{H5375} sin,{H2399} and die.{H4191} 23 But the Levites{H3881} shall do{H5647} the service{H5656} of the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} and they shall bear{H5375} their iniquity:{H5771} it shall be a statute{H2708} for ever{H5769} throughout your generations;{H1755} and among{H8432} the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} they shall have{H5157} no inheritance.{H5159} 24 For the tithe{H4643} of the children{H1121} of Israel,{H3478} which they offer{H7311} as a heave-offering{H8641} unto Jehovah,{H3068} I have given{H5414} to the Levites{H3881} for an inheritance:{H5159} therefore I have said{H559} unto them, Among{H8432} the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} they shall have{H5157} no inheritance.{H5159} 25 And Jehovah{H3068} spake{H1696} unto Moses,{H4872} saying,{H559} 26 Moreover thou shalt speak{H1696} unto the Levites,{H3881} and say{H559} unto them, When ye take{H3947} of the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} the tithe{H4643} which I have given{H5414} you from them for your inheritance,{H5159} then ye shall offer{H7311} up a heave-offering{H8641} of it for Jehovah,{H3068} a tithe{H4643} of the tithe.{H4643} 27 And your heave-offering{H8641} shall be reckoned{H2803} unto you, as though it were the grain{H1715} of the threshing-floor,{H1637} and as the fulness{H4395} of the winepress.{H3342} 28 Thus ye also shall offer{H7311} a heave-offering{H8641} unto Jehovah{H3068} of all your tithes,{H4643} which ye receive{H3947} of the children{H1121} of Israel;{H3478} and thereof ye shall give{H5414} Jehovah's{H3068} heave-offering{H8641} to Aaron{H175} the priest.{H3548} 29 Out of all your gifts{H4979} ye shall offer{H7311} every heave-offering{H8641} of Jehovah,{H3068} of all the best{H2459} thereof, even the hallowed part{H4720} thereof out of it. 30 Therefore thou shalt say{H559} unto them, When ye heave{H7311} the best{H2459} thereof from it, then it shall be reckoned{H2803} unto the Levites{H3881} as the increase{H8393} of the threshing-floor,{H1637} and as the increase{H8393} of the wine-press.{H3342} 31 And ye shall eat{H398} it in every place,{H4725} ye and your households:{H1004} for it is your reward{H7939} in return for{H2500} your service{H5656} in the tent{H168} of meeting.{H4150} 32 And ye shall bear{H5375} no sin{H2399} by reason of it, when ye have heaved{H7311} from it the best{H2459} thereof: and ye shall not profane{H2490} the holy things{H6944} of the children{H1121} of Israel,{H3478} that ye die{H4191} not.
Deut 17:12 : 12 And the man{H376} that doeth{H6213} presumptuously,{H2087} in not hearkening{H8085} unto the priest{H3548} that standeth{H5975} to minister{H8334} there before Jehovah{H3068} thy God,{H430} or unto the judge,{H8199} even that man{H376} shall die:{H4191} and thou shalt put away{H1197} the evil{H7451} from Israel.{H3478}
Num 1:47-53 : 47 But the Levites{H3881} after the tribe{H4294} of their fathers{H1} were not numbered{H6485} among{H8432} them. 48 For Jehovah{H3068} spake{H1696} unto Moses,{H4872} saying,{H559} 49 Only the tribe{H4294} of Levi{H3878} thou shalt not number,{H6485} neither shalt thou take{H5375} the sum{H7218} of them among{H8432} the children{H1121} of Israel;{H3478} 50 but appoint{H6485} thou the Levites{H3881} over the tabernacle{H4908} of the testimony,{H5715} and over all the furniture{H3627} thereof, and over all that belongeth to it: they shall bear{H5375} the tabernacle,{H4908} and all the furniture{H3627} thereof; and they shall minister{H8334} unto it, and shall encamp{H2583} round about{H5439} the tabernacle.{H4908} 51 And when the tabernacle{H4908} setteth forward,{H5265} the Levites{H3881} shall take it down;{H3381} and when the tabernacle{H4908} is to be pitched,{H2583} the Levites{H3881} shall set it up:{H6965} and the stranger{H2114} that cometh nigh{H7131} shall be put to death.{H4191} 52 And the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} shall pitch their tents,{H2583} every man{H376} by his own camp,{H4264} and every man{H376} by his own standard,{H1714} according to their hosts.{H6635} 53 But the Levites{H3881} shall encamp{H2583} round about{H5439} the tabernacle{H4908} of the testimony,{H5715} that there be no wrath{H7110} upon the congregation{H5712} of the children{H1121} of Israel:{H3478} and the Levites{H3881} shall keep{H8104} the charge{H4931} of the tabernacle{H4908} of the testimony.{H5715}
Num 3:1-4 : 1 Now these are the generations{H8435} of Aaron{H175} and Moses{H4872} in the day{H3117} that Jehovah{H3068} spake{H1696} with Moses{H4872} in mount{H2022} Sinai.{H5514} 2 And these are the names{H8034} of the sons{H1121} of Aaron:{H175} Nadab{H5070} the first-born,{H1060} and Abihu,{H30} Eleazar,{H499} and Ithamar.{H385} 3 These are the names{H8034} of the sons{H1121} of Aaron,{H175} the priests{H3548} that were anointed,{H4886} whom he consecrated{H4390} to minister in the priest's office.{H3547} 4 And Nadab{H5070} and Abihu{H30} died{H4191} before{H6440} Jehovah,{H3068} when they offered{H7126} strange{H2114} fire{H784} before{H6440} Jehovah,{H3068} in the wilderness{H4057} of Sinai,{H5514} and they had no children;{H1121} and Eleazar{H499} and Ithamar{H385} ministered in the priest's office{H3547} in the presence{H6440} of Aaron{H175} their father.{H1}
Exod 29:1-9 : 1 And this is the thing{H1697} that thou shalt do{H6213} unto them to hallow{H6942} them, to minister unto me in the priest's office:{H3547} take{H3947} one{H259} young{H1121} bullock{H6499} and two{H8147} rams{H352} without blemish,{H8549} 2 and unleavened{H4682} bread,{H3899} and cakes{H2471} unleavened{H4682} mingled{H1101} with oil,{H8081} and wafers{H7550} and the breastplate,{H2833} and gird{H640} him with the skilfully woven band{H2805} of the ephod;{H646} 6 and thou shalt set{H7760} the mitre{H4701} upon his head,{H7218} and put{H5414} the holy{H6944} crown{H5145} upon the mitre.{H4701} 7 Then shalt thou take{H3947} the anointing{H4888} oil,{H8081} and pour{H3332} it upon his head,{H7218} and anoint{H4886} him. 8 And thou shalt bring{H7126} his sons,{H1121} and put{H3847} coats{H3801} upon them. 9 And thou shalt gird{H2296} them with girdles,{H73} Aaron{H175} and his sons,{H1121} and bind{H2280} head-tires{H4021} on them: and they shall have the priesthood{H3550} by a perpetual{H5769} statute:{H2708} and thou shalt consecrate{H4390} Aaron{H175} and his sons.{H1121} 10 And thou shalt bring{H7126} the bullock{H6499} before{H6440} the tent{H168} of meeting:{H4150} and Aaron{H175} and his sons{H1121} shall lay{H5564} their hands{H3027} upon the head{H7218} of the bullock.{H6499} 11 And thou shalt kill{H7819} the horns{H7161} of the altar{H4196} with thy finger;{H676} and thou shalt pour{H8210} out all the blood{H1818} at{H413} the base{H3247} of the altar.{H4196} 13 And thou shalt take{H3947} all the fat{H2459} that covereth{H3680} the inwards,{H7130} and the caul{H3508} upon the liver,{H3516} and the two{H8147} kidneys,{H3629} and the fat{H2459} that is upon them, and burn{H6999} them upon the altar.{H4196} 14 But the flesh{H1320} of the bullock,{H6499} and its skin,{H5785} and its dung,{H6569} shalt thou burn{H8313} with fire{H784} without{H2351} the camp:{H4264} it is a sin-offering.{H2403} 15 Thou shalt also take{H3947} the one{H259} ram;{H352} and Aaron{H175} and his sons{H1121} shall lay{H5564} their hands{H3027} upon the head{H7218} of the ram.{H352} 16 And thou shalt slay{H7819} the ram,{H352} and thou shalt take{H3947} its blood,{H1818} and sprinkle{H2236} it round about{H5439} upon the altar.{H4196} 17 And thou shalt cut{H5408} the ram{H352} into its pieces,{H5409} and wash{H7364} its inwards,{H7130} and its legs,{H3767} and put{H5414} them with its pieces,{H5409} and with its head.{H7218} 18 And thou shalt burn{H6999} the whole ram{H352} upon the blood,{H1818} and put{H5414} it upon the tip{H8571} of the right ear{H241} of Aaron,{H175} and upon the tip{H8571} of the right{H3233} ear{H241} of his sons,{H1121} and upon the thumb{H931} of their right{H3233} hand,{H3027} and upon the great toe{H931} of their right{H3233} foot,{H7272} and sprinkle{H2236} the blood{H1818} upon the altar{H4196} round about.{H5439} 21 And thou shalt take{H3947} of the blood{H1818} that is upon the altar,{H4196} and of the anointing{H4888} oil,{H8081} and sprinkle{H5137} it upon Aaron,{H175} and upon his garments,{H899} and upon his sons,{H1121} and upon the Aaron,{H175} and upon the hands{H3709} of his sons,{H1121} and shalt wave{H5130} them for a wave-offering{H8573} before{H6440} Jehovah.{H3068} 25 And thou shalt take{H3947} them from their hands,{H3027} and burn{H6999} them on the altar{H4196} upon the burnt-offering,{H5930} for a sweet{H5207} savor{H7381} before{H6440} Jehovah:{H3068} it is an offering made by fire{H801} unto Jehovah.{H3068} 26 And thou shalt take{H3947} the breast{H2373} of Aaron's{H175} ram{H352} of consecration,{H4394} and wave{H5130} it for a wave-offering{H8573} before{H6440} Jehovah:{H3068} and it shall be thy portion.{H4490} 27 And thou shalt sanctify{H6942} the breast{H2373} of the wave-offering,{H8573} and the thigh{H7785} of the heave-offering,{H8641} which is waved,{H5130} and which is heaved up,{H7311} of the ram{H352} of consecration,{H4394} even of that which{H834} is for Aaron,{H175} and of that which is for his sons:{H1121} 28 and it shall be for Aaron{H175} and his sons{H1121} as [their] portion{H2706} for ever{H5769} from the children{H1121} of Israel;{H3478} for it is a heave-offering:{H8641} and it shall be a heave-offering{H8641} from the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} of the sacrifices{H2077} of their peace-offerings,{H8002} even their heave-offering{H8641} unto Jehovah.{H3068} 29 And the holy{H6944} garments{H899} of Aaron{H175} shall be for his sons{H1121} after{H310} him, to be anointed{H4888} in them, and to be consecrated{H4390} in them. 30 Seven{H7651} days{H3117} shall the son{H1121} that is priest{H3548} in his stead put{H3847} them on, when he cometh{H935} into the tent{H168} of meeting{H4150} to minister{H8334} in the holy{H6944} place. 31 And thou shalt take{H3947} the ram{H352} of consecration,{H4394} and boil{H1310} its flesh{H1320} in a holy{H6918} place.{H4725} 32 And Aaron{H175} and his sons{H1121} shall eat{H398} the flesh{H1320} of the ram,{H352} and the bread{H3899} that is in the basket,{H5536} at the door{H6607} of the tent{H168} of meeting.{H4150} 33 And they shall eat{H398} those things wherewith atonement was made,{H3722} to consecrate{H4390} [and] to sanctify{H6942} them: but a stranger{H2114} shall not eat{H398} thereof, because they are holy.{H6944} 34 And if aught of the flesh{H1320} of the consecration,{H4394} or of the bread,{H3899} remain{H3498} unto the morning,{H1242} then thou shalt burn{H8313} the remainder{H3498} with fire:{H784} it shall not be eaten,{H398} because it is holy.{H6944} 35 And thus shalt thou do{H6213} unto Aaron,{H175} and to his sons,{H1121} according to all that I have commanded{H6680} thee: seven{H7651} days{H3117} shalt thou consecrate{H4390} them. 36 And every day{H3117} shalt thou offer{H6213} the bullock{H6499} of sin-offering{H2403} for atonement:{H3725} and thou shalt cleanse{H2398} the altar,{H4196} when thou makest atonement{H3722} for it; and thou shalt anoint{H4886} it, to sanctify{H6942} it. 37 Seven{H7651} days{H3117} thou shalt make atonement{H3722} for the altar,{H4196} and sanctify{H6942} it: and the altar{H4196} shall be most holy;{H6944} whatsoever toucheth{H5060} the altar{H4196} shall be holy.{H6944}
Lev 8:9 : 9 And he set{H7760} the mitre{H4701} upon his head;{H7218} and upon the mitre,{H4701} in front,{H6440} did he set{H7760} the golden{H2091} plate,{H6731} the holy{H6944} crown;{H5145} as Jehovah{H3068} commanded{H6680} Moses.{H4872}
1 Kgs 8:3-4 : 3 And all the elders{H2205} of Israel{H3478} came,{H935} and the priests{H3548} took up{H5375} the ark.{H727} 4 And they brought up{H5927} the ark{H727} of Jehovah,{H3068} and the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} and all the holy{H6944} vessels{H3627} that were in the Tent;{H168} even these did the priests{H3548} and the Levites{H3881} bring up.{H5927}
1 Kgs 8:6 : 6 And the priests{H3548} brought in{H935} the ark{H727} of the covenant{H1285} of Jehovah{H3068} unto its place,{H4725} into the oracle{H1687} of the house,{H1004} to the most{H6944} holy{H6944} place, even under the wings{H3671} of the cherubim.{H3742}
1 Chr 15:12-15 : 12 and said{H559} unto them, Ye are the heads{H7218} of the fathers'{H1} [houses] of the Levites:{H3881} sanctify{H6942} yourselves, both ye and your brethren,{H251} that ye may bring up{H5927} the ark{H727} of Jehovah,{H3068} the God{H430} of Israel,{H3478} unto [the place] that I have prepared{H3559} for it. 13 For because ye [bare it] not at the first,{H7223} Jehovah{H3068} our God{H430} made a breach{H6555} upon us, for that we sought{H1875} him not according to the ordinance.{H4941} 14 So the priests{H3548} and the Levites{H3881} sanctified{H6942} themselves to bring up{H5927} the ark{H727} of Jehovah,{H3068} the God{H430} of Israel.{H3478} 15 And the children{H1121} of the Levites{H3881} bare{H5375} the ark{H727} of God{H430} upon their shoulders{H3802} with the staves{H4133} thereon, as Moses{H4872} commanded{H6680} according to the word{H1697} of Jehovah.{H3068}
1 Chr 15:26 : 26 And it came to pass, when God{H430} helped{H5826} the Levites{H3881} that bare{H5375} the ark{H727} of the covenant{H1285} of Jehovah,{H3068} that they sacrificed{H2076} seven{H7651} bullocks{H6499} and seven{H7651} rams.{H352}
1 Chr 23:26 : 26 and also the Levites{H3881} shall no more have need to carry{H5375} the tabernacle{H4908} and all the vessels{H3627} of it for the service{H5656} thereof.
2 Chr 5:4-5 : 4 And all the elders{H2205} of Israel{H3478} came:{H935} and the Levites{H3881} took up{H5375} the ark;{H727} 5 and they brought up{H5927} the ark,{H727} and the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} and all the holy{H6944} vessels{H3627} that were in the Tent;{H168} these did the priests{H3548} the Levites{H3881} bring up.{H5927}
2 Chr 29:11 : 11 My sons,{H1121} be not now negligent;{H7952} for Jehovah{H3068} hath chosen{H977} you to stand{H5975} before{H6440} him, to minister{H8334} unto him, and that ye should be his ministers,{H8334} and burn incense.{H6999}
