But he knew{H3045} not that Jehovah{H3068} was departed{H5493} from him. 21 And the Philistines{H6430} laid{H270} hold on him, and put out{H5365} his eyes;{H5869} and they brought him down{H3381} to Gaza,{H5804} and bound{H631} him with fetters of brass;{H5178} and he did grind{H2912} in the {H631} prison-house.{H1004} 22 Howbeit the hair{H8181} of his head{H7218} began{H2490} to grow again{H6779} after{H834} he was shaven.{H1548} 23 And the lords{H5633} of the Philistines{H6430} gathered them together{H622} to offer{H2076} a great{H1419} sacrifice{H2076} unto Dagon{H1712} their god,{H430} and to rejoice;{H8057} for they said,{H559} Our god{H430} hath delivered{H5414} Samson{H8123} our enemy{H341} into our hand.{H3027} 24 And when the people{H5971} saw{H7200} him, they praised{H1984} their god;{H430} for they said,{H559} Our god{H430} hath delivered{H5414} into our hand{H3027} our enemy,{H341} and the destroyer{H2717} of our country,{H776} who hath slain{H2491} many{H7235} of us. 25 And it came to pass, when their hearts{H3820} were merry,{H2896} that they said,{H559} Call{H7121} for Samson,{H8123} that he may make us sport.{H7832} And they called{H7121} for Samson{H8123} out of the {H631} prison-house;{H1004} and he made sport{H6711} before them.{H6440} And they set{H5975} him between the pillars:{H5982} 26 and Samson{H8123} said{H559} unto the lad{H5288} that held{H2388} him by the hand,{H3027} Suffer{H3240} me that I may feel{H4184} the pillars{H5982} whereupon the house{H1004} resteth,{H3559} that I may lean{H8172} upon them. 27 Now the house{H1004} was full{H4390} of men{H582} and women;{H802} and all the lords{H5633} of the Philistines{H6430} were there; and there were upon the roof{H1406} about three{H7969} thousand{H505} men{H376} and women,{H802} that beheld{H7200} while Samson{H8123} made sport.{H7832} 28 And Samson{H8123} called{H7121} unto Jehovah,{H3068} and said,{H559} O Lord{H3068} Jehovah,{H3068} remember{H2142} me, I pray thee, and strengthen{H2388} me, I pray thee, only this once,{H6471} O God,{H430} that I may be at once{H259} avenged{H5358} of the Philistines{H6430} for my two{H8147} eyes.{H5869} 29 And Samson{H8123} took hold{H3943} of the two{H8147} middle{H8432} pillars{H5982} upon which the house{H1004} rested,{H3559} {H5564} and leaned upon them, the one{H259} with his right hand,{H3225} and the other{H259} with his left.{H8040} 30 And Samson{H8123} said,{H559} Let me die{H4191} with the Philistines.{H6430} And he bowed{H5186} himself with all his might;{H3581} and the house{H1004} fell{H5307} upon the lords,{H5633} and upon all the people{H5971} that were therein. So the dead{H4191} that he slew{H4191} at his death{H4194} were more{H7227} than they that he slew{H4191} in his life.{H2416}
- 1 Sam 14:13-15 : 13 And Jonathan{H3129} climbed up{H5927} upon his hands{H3027} and upon his feet,{H7272} and his armorbearer{H5375} after{H310} him: and they fell{H5307} before{H6440} Jonathan;{H3129} and his armorbearer{H5375} slew{H4191} them after{H310} him. 14 And that first{H7223} slaughter,{H4347} which Jonathan{H3129} and his armorbearer{H5375} made,{H5221} was about twenty{H6242} men,{H376} within as it were half{H2677} a furrow's{H6776} length in an acre{H4618} of land.{H7704} 15 And there was a trembling{H2731} in the camp,{H4264} in the field,{H7704} and among all the people;{H5971} the garrison,{H4673} and the spoilers,{H7843} they also trembled;{H2729} and the earth{H776} quaked:{H7264} so there was an exceeding great{H430} trembling.{H2731}
- 1 Sam 20:1 : 1 And David{H1732} fled{H1272} from Naioth{H5121} in Ramah,{H7414} and came{H935} and said{H559} before{H6440} Jonathan,{H3083} What have I done?{H6213} what is mine iniquity?{H5771} and what is my sin{H2403} before{H6440} thy father,{H1} that he seeketh{H1245} my life?{H5315}
- Judg 8:4-9 : 4 And Gideon{H1439} came{H935} to the Jordan,{H3383} [and] passed over,{H5674} he, and the three{H7969} hundred{H3967} men{H376} that were with him, faint,{H5889} yet pursuing.{H7291} 5 And he said{H559} unto the men{H582} of Succoth,{H5523} Give,{H5414} I pray you, loaves{H3603} of bread{H3899} unto the people{H5971} that follow{H7272} me; for they are faint,{H5889} and I am pursuing{H7291} after{H310} Zebah{H2078} and Zalmunna,{H6759} the kings{H4428} of Midian.{H4080} 6 And the princes{H8269} of Succoth{H5523} said,{H559} Are the hands{H3709} of Zebah{H2078} and Zalmunna{H6759} now in thy hand,{H3027} that we should give{H5414} bread{H3899} unto thine army?{H6635} 7 And Gideon{H1439} said,{H559} Therefore when Jehovah{H3068} hath delivered{H5414} Zebah{H2078} and Zalmunna{H6759} into my hand,{H3027} then I will tear{H1758} your flesh{H1320} with the thorns{H6975} of the wilderness{H4057} and with briers.{H1303} 8 And he went up{H5927} thence to Penuel,{H6439} and spake{H1696} unto them in like{H2063} manner; and the men{H582} of Penuel{H6439} answered{H6030} him as the men{H582} of Succoth{H5523} had answered.{H6030} 9 And he spake{H559} also unto the men{H582} of Penuel,{H6439} saying,{H559} When I come again{H7725} in peace,{H7965} I will break down{H5422} this tower.{H4026} 10 Now Zebah{H2078} and Zalmunna{H6759} were in Karkor,{H7174} and their hosts{H4264} with them, about fifteen{H2568} thousand{H505} men, all that were left{H3498} of all the host{H4264} of the children{H1121} of the east;{H6924} for there fell{H5307} a hundred{H3967} and twenty{H6242} thousand{H505} men{H376} that drew{H8025} sword.{H2719}
