the sea{H3220} from Syria;{H758} and, behold, they are in Hazazon-tamar{H2688} (the same is En-gedi).{H5872} 3 And Jehoshaphat{H3092} feared,{H3372} and set{H5414} himself{H6440} to seek{H1875} unto Jehovah;{H3068} and he proclaimed{H7121} a fast{H6685} throughout{H5921} all Judah.{H3063} 4 And Judah{H3063} gathered themselves together,{H6908} to seek{H1245} [help] of Jehovah:{H3068} even out of all the cities{H5892} of Judah{H3063} they came{H935} to seek{H1245} Jehovah.{H3068} 5 And Jehoshaphat{H3092} stood{H5975} in the assembly{H6951} of Judah{H3063} and Jerusalem,{H3389} in the house{H1004} of Jehovah,{H3068} before{H6440} the new{H2319} court;{H2691} 6 and he said,{H559} O Jehovah,{H3068} the God{H430} of our fathers,{H1} art not thou God{H430} in heaven?{H8064} and art not thou ruler{H4910} over all the kingdoms{H4467} of the nations?{H1471} and in thy hand{H3027} is power{H3581} and might,{H1369} so that none is able to withstand{H3320} thee. 7 Didst not thou, O our God,{H430} drive out{H3423} the inhabitants{H3427} of this land{H776} before{H6440} thy people{H5971} Israel,{H3478} and give{H5414} it to the seed{H2233} of Abraham{H85} thy friend{H157} for ever?{H5769} 8 And they dwelt{H3427} therein, and have built{H1129} thee a sanctuary{H4720} therein for thy name,{H8034} saying,{H559} 9 If evil{H7451} come{H935} upon us, the sword,{H2719} judgment,{H8196} or pestilence,{H1698} or famine,{H7458} we will stand{H5975} before{H6440} this house,{H1004} and before{H6440} thee, (for thy name{H8034} is in this house,){H1004} and cry{H2199} Ammon{H5983} and Moab{H4124} stood up{H5975} against the inhabitants{H3427} of mount{H2022} Seir,{H8165} utterly to slay{H2763} and destroy{H8045} them: and when they had made an end{H3615} of the inhabitants{H3427} of Seir,{H8165} every one{H376} helped{H5826} to destroy{H4889} another.{H7453} 24 And when Judah{H3063} came{H935} to the watch-tower{H4707} of the wilderness,{H4057} they looked{H6437} upon the multitude;{H1995} and, behold, they were dead bodies{H6297} fallen{H5307} to the earth,{H776} and there were none that escaped.{H6413} 25 And when Jehoshaphat{H3092} and his they stripped off{H5337} for themselves, more than{H369} they could carry away:{H4853} and they were three{H7969} days{H3117} in taking{H962} the spoil,{H7998} it was so much.{H7227} 26 And on the fourth{H7243} day{H3117} they assembled{H6950} themselves in the valley{H6010} of Beracah;{H1294} for there they blessed{H1288} Jehovah:{H3068} therefore the name{H8034} of that place{H4725} was called{H7121} The valley{H6010} of Beracah{H1294} unto this day.{H3117} 27 Then they returned,{H7725} every man{H376} of Judah{H3063} and Jerusalem,{H3389} and Jehoshaphat{H3092} in the forefront{H7218} of them, to go again{H7725} to Jerusalem{H3389} with joy;{H8057} for Jehovah{H3068} had made them to rejoice{H8055} over their enemies.{H341} 28 And they came{H935} to Jerusalem{H3389} with psalteries{H5035} and harps{H3658} and trumpets{H2689} unto the house{H1004} of Jehovah.{H3068} 29 And the fear{H6343} of God{H430} was on all the kingdoms{H4467} of the countries,{H776} when they heard{H8085} that Jehovah{H3068} fought{H3898} against the enemies{H341} of Israel.{H3478} 30 So the realm{H4438} of Jehoshaphat{H3092} was quiet;{H8252} for his God{H430} gave him rest{H5117} round about.{H5439}
2 Chr 32:21 : 21 And Jehovah{H3068} sent{H7971} an angel,{H4397} who cut off{H3582} all the mighty men{H1368} of valor,{H2428} and the leaders{H5057} and captains,{H8269} in the camp{H4264} of the king{H4428} of Assyria.{H804} So he returned{H7725} with shame{H1322} of face{H6440} to his own land.{H776} And when he was come{H935} into the house{H1004} of his god,{H430} they that came forth{H3329} from his own bowels{H4578} slew{H5307} him there with the sword.{H2719}

Jer 38:14-27 : 14 Then Zedekiah{H6667} the king{H4428} sent,{H7971} and took{H3947} Jeremiah{H3414} the prophet{H5030} unto him into the third{H7992} entry{H3996} that is in the house{H1004} of Jehovah:{H3068} and the king{H4428} said{H559} unto Jeremiah,{H3414} I will ask{H7592} thee a thing;{H1697} hide{H3582} nothing from me. 15 Then Jeremiah{H3414} said{H559} unto Zedekiah,{H6667} If I declare{H5046} it unto thee, wilt thou not surely{H4191} put me to death?{H4191} and if I give thee counsel,{H3289} thou wilt not hearken{H8085} unto me. 16 So Zedekiah{H6667} the king{H4428} sware{H7650} secretly{H5643} unto Jeremiah,{H3414} saying,{H559} As Jehovah{H3068} liveth,{H2416} that made{H6213} us this soul,{H5315} I will not put thee to death,{H4191} neither will I give{H5414} thee into the hand{H3027} of these men{H582} that seek{H1245} thy life.{H5315} 17 Then said{H559} Jeremiah{H3414} unto Zedekiah,{H6667} Thus saith{H559} Jehovah,{H3068} the God{H430} of hosts,{H6635} the God{H430} of Israel:{H3478} If thou wilt{H3318} go forth{H3318} unto the king{H4428} of Babylon's{H894} princes,{H8269} then thy soul{H5315} shall live,{H2421} and this city{H5892} shall not be burned{H8313} with fire;{H784} and thou shalt live,{H2421} and thy house.{H1004} 18 But if thou wilt not go forth{H3318} to the king{H4428} of Babylon's{H894} princes,{H8269} then shall this city{H5892} be given{H5414} into the hand{H3027} of the Chaldeans,{H3778} and they shall burn{H8313} it with fire,{H784} and thou shalt not escape out{H4422} of their hand.{H3027} 19 And Zedekiah{H6667} the king{H4428} said{H559} unto Jeremiah,{H3414} I am afraid{H1672} of the Jews{H3064} that are fallen{H5307} away to the Chaldeans,{H3778} lest they deliver{H5414} me into their hand,{H3027} and they mock{H5953} me. 20 But Jeremiah{H3414} said,{H559} They shall not deliver{H5414} thee. Exod 14:1-9 : 1 And Jehovah{H3068} spake{H1696} unto Moses,{H4872} saying,{H559} 2 Speak{H1696} unto the children{H1121} of Israel,{H3478} that they turn{H7725} back and encamp{H2583} before{H6440} Pi-hahiroth,{H6367} between Migdol{H4024} and the sea,{H3220} before{H5226} Baal-zephon:{H1189} over against{H6440} it shall ye encamp{H2583} by the sea.{H3220} 3 And Pharaoh{H6547} will say{H559} of the children{H1121} of Israel,{H3478} They are entangled{H943} in the land,{H776} the wilderness{H4057} hath shut them in.{H5462} 4 And I will harden{H2388} Pharaoh's{H6547} heart,{H3820} and he shall follow{H7291} after{H310} them; and I will get me honor{H3513} upon Pharaoh,{H6547} and upon all his host;{H2428} and the Egyptians{H4714} shall know{H3045} that I am Jehovah.{H3068} And they did{H6213} so. 5 And it was told{H5046} the king{H4428} of Egypt{H4714} that the people{H5971} were fled:{H1272} and the heart{H3824} of Pharaoh{H6547} and of his servants{H5650} was changed{H2015} towards the people,{H5971} and they said,{H559} What is this we have done,{H6213} that we have let Israel{H3478} go{H7971} from serving{H5647} us? 6 And he made ready{H631} his chariot,{H7393} and took{H3947} his people{H5971} with him: 7 and he took{H3947} six{H8337} hundred{H3967} chosen{H977} chariots,{H7393} and all the chariots{H7393} of Egypt,{H4714} and captains{H7991} over all of them. 8 And Jehovah{H3068} hardened{H2388} the heart{H3820} of Pharaoh{H6547} king{H4428} of Egypt,{H4714} and he pursued{H7291} after{H310} the children{H1121} of Israel:{H3478} for the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} went out{H3318} with a high{H7311} hand.{H3027} 9 And the Egyptians{H4714} pursued{H7291} after{H310} them, all the horses{H5483} and chariots{H7393} of Pharaoh,{H6547} and his horsemen,{H6571} and his army,{H2428} and overtook{H5381} them encamping{H2583} by the sea,{H3220} beside Pi-hahiroth,{H6367} before{H6440} Baal-zephon.{H1189} 10 And when Pharaoh{H6547} drew nigh,{H7126} the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} lifted up{H5375} their eyes,{H5869} and, behold, the Egyptians{H4714} were marching{H5265} after{H310} them; and they were sore{H3966} afraid:{H3372} and the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} cried out{H6817} unto Jehovah.{H3068} 11 And they said{H559} unto Moses,{H4872} Because there were no graves{H6913} in Egypt,{H4714} hast thou taken us away{H3947} to die{H4191} in the wilderness?{H4057} wherefore{H2063} hast thou dealt{H6213} thus with us, to bring us forth{H3318} out of Egypt?{H4714} 12 Is not this the word{H1697} that we spake{H1696} unto thee in Egypt,{H4714} saying,{H559} Let us alone,{H2308} that we may serve{H5647} the Egyptians?{H4714} For it were better{H2896} for us to serve{H5647} the Egyptians,{H4714} than that we should die{H4191} in the wilderness.{H4057} 13 And Moses{H4872} said{H559} unto the people,{H5971} Fear{H3372} ye not, stand still,{H3320} and see{H7200} the salvation{H3444} of Jehovah,{H3068} which he will work{H6213} for you to-day:{H3117} for the Egyptians{H4714} whom ye have seen{H7200} to-day,{H3117} ye shall see{H7200} them again{H3254} no more for{H5704} ever.{H5769} 14 Jehovah{H3068} will fight{H3898} for you, and ye shall hold your peace.{H2790} 15 And Jehovah{H3068} said{H559} unto Moses,{H4872} Wherefore criest{H6817} thou unto me? speak{H1696} unto the children{H1121} of Israel,{H3478} that they go forward.{H5265}
Josh 10:1-9 : 1 Now it came to pass, when Adoni-zedek{H139} king{H4428} of Jerusalem{H3389} heard{H8085} how{H3588} Joshua{H3091} had taken{H3920} Ai,{H5857} and had utterly destroyed{H2763} it (as he had done{H6213} to Jericho{H3405} and her king,{H4428} so he had done{H6213} to Ai{H5857} and her king),{H4428} and how the inhabitants{H3427} of Gibeon{H1391} had made peace{H7999} with Israel,{H3478} and were among{H7130} them; 2 that they feared{H3372} greatly,{H3966} because Gibeon{H1391} was a great{H1419} city,{H5892} as one{H259} of the royal{H4467} cities,{H5892} and because it was greater{H1419} than Ai,{H5857} and all the men{H582} thereof were mighty.{H1368} 3 Wherefore Adoni-zedek{H139} king{H4428} of Jerusalem{H3389} sent{H7971} unto Hoham{H1944} king{H4428} of Hebron,{H2275} and unto Piram{H6502} king{H4428} of Jarmuth,{H3412} and unto Japhia{H3309} king{H4428} of Lachish,{H3923} and unto Debir{H1688} king{H4428} of Eglon,{H5700} saying,{H559} 4 Come up{H5927} unto me, and help{H5826} me, and let us smite{H5221} Gibeon;{H1391} for it hath made peace{H7999} with Joshua{H3091} and with the children{H1121} of Israel.{H3478} 5 Therefore the five{H2568} kings{H4428} of the Amorites,{H567} the king{H4428} of Jerusalem,{H3389} the king{H4428} of Hebron,{H2275} the king{H4428} of Jarmuth,{H3412} the king{H4428} of Lachish,{H3923} the king{H4428} of Eglon,{H5700} gathered themselves together,{H622} and went up,{H5927} they and all their hosts,{H4264} and encamped{H2583} against Gibeon,{H1391} and made war{H3898} against it. 6 And the men{H582} of Gibeon{H1391} sent{H7971} unto Joshua{H3091} to the camp{H4264} to Gilgal,{H1537} saying,{H559} Slack{H7503} not thy hand{H3027} from thy servants;{H5650} come up{H5927} to us quickly,{H4120} and save{H3467} us, and help{H5826} us: for all the kings{H4428} of the Amorites{H567} that dwell{H3427} in the hill-country{H2022} are gathered together{H6908} against us. 7 So Joshua{H3091} went up{H5927} from Gilgal,{H1537} he, and all the people{H5971} of war{H4421} with him, and all the mighty{H1368} men of valor.{H2428} 8 And Jehovah{H3068} said{H559} unto Joshua,{H3091} Fear{H3372} them not: for I have delivered{H5414} them into thy hands;{H3027} there shall not a man{H376} of them stand{H5975} before{H6440} thee. 9 Joshua{H3091} therefore came{H935} upon them suddenly;{H6597} [for] he went up{H5927} from Gilgal{H1537} all the night.{H3915} 10 And Jehovah{H3068} discomfited{H2000} them before{H6440} Israel,{H3478} and he slew{H5221} them with a great{H1419} slaughter{H4347} at Gibeon,{H1391} and chased{H7291} them by the way{H1870} of the ascent{H4608} of Beth-horon,{H1032} and smote{H5221} them to Azekah,{H5825} and unto Makkedah.{H4719} 11 And it came to pass, as they fled{H5127} from before{H6440} Israel,{H3478} while they were at the descent{H4174} of Beth-horon,{H1032} that Jehovah{H3068} cast down{H4174} great{H1419} stones{H68} from heaven{H8064} upon them unto Azekah,{H5825} and they died:{H4191} they were more{H7227} who died{H4191} with the hailstones{H1259} than they whom{H834} the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} slew{H2026} with the sword.{H2719}
Judg 4:1-5 : 1 And the sons{H1121} of Israel{H3478} again{H3254} did{H6213} that which was evil{H7451} in the sight{H5869} of Jehovah,{H3068} when Ehud{H164} was dead.{H4191} 2 And Jehovah{H3068} sold{H4376} them into the hand{H3027} of Jabin{H2985} king{H4428} of Canaan,{H3667} that reigned{H4427} in Hazor;{H2674} the captain{H8269} of whose host{H6635} was Sisera,{H5516} who lived{H3427} in Harosheth{H2800} of the Nations.{H1471} 3 And the sons{H1121} of Israel{H3478} cried{H6817} unto Jehovah:{H3068} for he had nine{H8672} hundred{H3967} chariots{H7393} of iron;{H1270} and twenty{H6242} years{H8141} he mightily{H2394} oppressed{H3905} the sons{H1121} of Israel.{H3478} 4 Now Deborah,{H1683} a prophetess,{H5031} the wife{H802} of Lappidoth,{H3941} she judged{H8199} Israel{H3478} at that time.{H6256} 5 And she lived{H3427} under the palm-tree{H8560} of Deborah{H1683} between Ramah{H7414} and Beth-el{H1008} in the hill-country{H2022} of Ephraim:{H669} and the sons{H1121} of Israel{H3478} came up{H5927} to her for judgment.{H4941}
