very{H199} deed{H5668} for this cause have I made thee to stand,{H5975} to show{H7200} thee my power,{H3581} and that my name{H8034} may be declared{H5608} throughout all the earth.{H776} 17 As yet exaltest{H5549} thou thyself against my people,{H5971} that thou wilt not let them go?{H7971} 18 Behold, to-morrow{H4279} about this time{H6256} I will cause it to rain{H4305} a very{H3966} grievous{H3515} hail,{H1259} such as hath not been{H3644} in Egypt{H4714} since{H4480} the day it was founded{H3117} even until now. 19 Now therefore send,{H7971} hasten{H5756} in thy cattle{H4735} and all that thou hast in the field;{H7704} [for] every man{H120} and beast{H929} that shall be found{H4672} in the field,{H7704} and shall not be brought{H622} home,{H1004} the hail{H1259} shall come down{H3381} upon them, and they shall die.{H4191} 20 He that feared{H3373} the word{H1697} of Jehovah{H3068} among the servants{H5650} of Pharaoh{H6547} made his servants{H5650} and his cattle{H4735} flee{H5127} into the houses:{H1004} 21 and he that regarded{H7760} not the word{H1697} of Jehovah{H3068} left{H5800} his servants{H5650} and his cattle{H4735} in the field.{H7704} 22 And every herb{H6212} of the field,{H7704} and brake{H7665} every tree{H6086} of the field.{H7704} 26 Only in the land{H776} of Goshen,{H1657} where the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} were, was there no hail.{H1259} 27 And Pharaoh{H6547} sent,{H7971} and called{H7121} for Moses{H4872} and Aaron,{H175} and said{H559} unto them, I have sinned{H2398} this time:{H6471} Jehovah{H3068} is righteous,{H6662} and I and my people{H5971} are wicked.{H7563} 28 Entreat{H6279} Jehovah;{H3068} for there hath been enough{H7227} of [these] mighty{H430} thunderings{H6963} and hail;{H1259} and I will let you and the flax{H6594} was in bloom.{H1392} 32 But the wheat{H2406} and the spelt{H3698} were not smitten:{H5221} for they{H2007} were not grown up.{H648} 33 And Moses{H4872} went out{H3318} of the city{H5892} from Pharaoh,{H6547} and spread abroad{H6566} his hands{H3709} unto Jehovah:{H3068} and the thunders{H6963} and hail{H1259} ceased,{H2308} and the rain{H4306} was not poured{H5413} upon Egypt{H4714} shall die,{H4191} from the first-born{H1060} of Pharaoh{H6547} that sitteth upon his throne,{H3678} even unto the first-born{H1060} of the maid-servant{H8198} that is behind{H310} the mill;{H7347} and all the first-born{H1060} of cattle. 6 And there shall be{H1961} a great{H1419} cry{H6818} throughout all the land{H776} of Egypt,{H4714} such as there hath not been,{H3808} know{H3045} how that Jehovah{H3068} doth make a distinction{H6395} between the Egyptians{H4714} and Israel.{H3478} 8 And all these thy servants{H5650} shall come down{H3381} unto me, and bow down{H7812} themselves unto me, saying,{H559} Get thee out,{H3318} and all the people{H5971} that follow{H7272} thee: and after{H310} that I will go out.{H3318} And he went out{H3318} from Pharaoh{H6547} in hot{H2750} anger.{H639} 9 And Jehovah{H3068} said{H559} unto Moses,{H4872} Pharaoh{H6547} will not hearken{H8085} unto you; that my wonders{H4159} may be multiplied{H7235} in the land{H776} of Egypt.{H4714} 10 And Moses{H4872} and Aaron{H175} did{H6213} all these wonders{H4159} before{H6440} Pharaoh:{H6547} and Jehovah{H3068} hardened{H2388} Pharaoh's{H6547} heart,{H3820} and he did not let the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} go out{H7971} of his land.{H776} 1 And Jehovah{H3068} spake{H559} unto Moses{H4872} and Aaron{H175} in the land{H776} of Egypt,{H4714} saying,{H559} 2 This month{H2320} shall be unto you the beginning{H7218} of months:{H2320} it shall be the first{H7223} month{H2320} of the year{H8141} to you. 3 Speak{H1696} ye unto all the congregation{H5712} of Israel,{H3478} saying,{H559} In the tenth{H6218} [day] of this month{H2320} they shall take{H3947} to them every man{H376} a lamb,{H7716} according to their fathers'{H1} houses,{H1004} a lamb{H7716} for a household:{H1004} 4 and if the household{H1004} be{H1961} too little{H4591} for a lamb,{H7716} then shall he and his neighbor{H7934} next{H7138} unto his house{H1004} take{H3947} one according to the number{H4373} of the souls;{H5315} according{H6310} to every man's{H376} eating{H400} ye shall make your count{H3699} for the lamb.{H7716} 5 Your lamb{H7716} shall be without blemish,{H8549} a male{H2145} a{H1121} year{H8141} old: ye shall take{H3947} it from the sheep,{H3532} or from the goats:{H5795} 6 and ye shall keep{H4931} it until the fourteenth{H702} day{H3117} of the same will execute{H6213} judgments:{H8201} I am Jehovah.{H3068} 13 And the blood{H1818} shall be to you for a token{H226} upon the houses{H1004} where ye are: and when I see{H7200} the blood,{H1818} I will pass{H6452} over you, and there shall no plague{H5063} be upon you to destroy{H4889} you, when I smite{H5221} the land{H776} of Egypt.{H4714} 14 And this day{H3117} shall be unto you for a to smite{H5062} you. 24 And ye shall observe{H8104} this thing{H1697} for an ordinance{H2706} to thee and to thy sons{H1121} for{H5704} ever.{H5769} 25 And it shall come to pass, when ye are children{H1121} shall say{H559} unto you, What mean ye by this service?{H5656} 27 that ye shall say,{H559} It is the sacrifice{H2077} of Jehovah's{H3068} passover,{H6453} who passed{H6452} over the houses{H1004} of the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} in Egypt,{H4714} when he smote{H5062} the Egyptians,{H4714} and delivered{H5337} our houses.{H1004} And the people{H5971} bowed the head{H6915} and worshipped.{H7812} 28 And the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} went{H3212} and did{H6213} so; as Jehovah{H3068} had commanded{H6680} Moses{H4872} and Aaron,{H175} so did{H6213} they. 29 And it came to pass at midnight,{H2677} that Jehovah{H3068} smote{H5221} all the first-born{H1060} in the land{H776} of Egypt,{H4714} from the first-born{H1060} of Pharaoh{H6547} that sat{H3427} on his throne{H3678} unto the first-born{H1060} of the captive{H7628} that was in the dungeon;{H1004} and all the first-born{H1060} of cattle.{H929} 30 And Pharaoh{H6547} rose up{H6965} in the night,{H3915} he, and all his servants,{H5650} and all the Egyptians;{H4714} and there was a great{H1419} cry{H6818} in Egypt;{H4714} for there was not a house{H1004} where there was not one dead.{H4191} 31 And he called{H7121} for Moses{H4872} and Aaron{H175} by night,{H3915} and said,{H559} Rise up,{H6965} get you forth{H3318} from among{H8432} my people,{H5971} both ye and the children{H1121} of Israel;{H3478} and go,{H3212} serve{H5647} Jehovah,{H3068} as ye have said.{H1696} 32 Take{H3947} both your flocks{H6629} and your herds,{H1241} as ye have said,{H1696} and be gone;{H3212} and bless{H1288} me also.
