tribe{H4294} of Levi{H3878} near,{H7126} and set{H5975} them before{H6440} Aaron{H175} the priest,{H3548} that they may minister{H8334} unto him. 7 And they shall keep{H8104} his charge,{H4931} and the charge{H4931} of the whole congregation{H5712} before{H6440} the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} to do{H5647} the service{H5656} of the tabernacle.{H4908} 8 And they shall keep{H8104} all the furniture{H3627} of the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} and the charge{H4931} of the children{H1121} of Israel,{H3478} to do{H5647} the service{H5656} of the tabernacle.{H4908} 9 And thou shalt Izhar,{H3324} Hebron,{H2275} and Uzziel.{H5816} 20 And the sons{H1121} of Merari{H4847} by their families:{H4940} Mahli{H4249} and Mushi.{H4187} These are{H1992} the families{H4940} of the Levites{H3881} according to their fathers'{H1} houses.{H1004} 21 Of Gershon{H1648} was the family{H4940} of the Libnites,{H3846} and the family{H4940} of the Shimeites:{H8097} these are the families{H4940} of the Gershonites.{H1649} 22 Those that were numbered{H6485} of them, according to the number{H4557} of all the males,{H2145} from a month{H2320} old{H1121} and upward,{H4605} even those that were numbered{H6485} of them were seven{H7651} thousand{H505} and five{H2568} hundred.{H3967} 23 The families{H4940} of the Gershonites{H1649} shall encamp{H2583} behind{H310} the tabernacle{H4908} westward.{H3220} 24 And the prince{H5387} of the fathers'{H1} house{H1004} of the Gershonites{H1649} shall be Eliasaph{H460} the son{H1121} of Lael.{H3815} 25 And the charge{H4931} of the sons{H1121} of Gershon{H1648} in the tent{H168} of meeting{H4150} shall be the tabernacle,{H168} and the Tent,{H4908} the covering{H168} thereof, and the screen{H4372} for the door{H6607} of the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} 26 and the hangings{H7050} of the court,{H2691} and the screen{H4539} for the door{H6607} of the court,{H2691} which is by the tabernacle,{H4908} and by the altar{H4196} round about,{H5439} and the cords{H4340} of it for all the service{H5656} thereof. 27 And of Kohath{H6955} was the family{H4940} of the Amramites,{H6020} and the family{H4940} of the Izharites,{H3325} and the family{H4940} of the Hebronites,{H2276} and the family{H4940} of the Uzzielites:{H5817} these are the families{H4940} of the Kohathites.{H6956} 28 According to the number{H4557} of all the males,{H2145} from a month{H2320} old{H1121} and upward,{H4605} there were eight{H8083} thousand{H505} and six{H8337} hundred,{H3967} keeping{H8104} the charge{H4931} of the sanctuary.{H6944} 29 The families{H4940} of the sons{H1121} of Kohath{H6955} shall encamp{H2583} on the side{H3409} of the tabernacle{H4908} southward.{H8486} 30 And the prince{H5387} of the fathers'{H1} house{H1004} of the families{H4940} of the Kohathites{H6956} shall be Elizaphan{H469} the son{H1121} of Uzziel.{H5816} 31 And their charge{H4931} shall be the ark,{H727} and the table,{H7979} and the candlestick,{H4501} and the altars,{H4196} and the vessels{H3627} of the sanctuary{H6944} wherewith they minister,{H8334} and the screen,{H4539} and all the service{H5656} thereof. 32 And Eleazar{H499} the son{H1121} of Aaron{H175} the priest{H3548} shall be prince{H5387} of the princes{H5387} of the Levites,{H3881} [and have] the oversight{H6486} of them that keep{H8104} the charge{H4931} of the sanctuary.{H6944} 33 Of Merari{H4847} was the family{H4940} of the Mahlites,{H4250} and the family{H4940} of the Mushites:{H4188} these are the families{H4940} of Merari.{H4847} 34 And those that were numbered{H6485} of them, according to the number{H4557} of all the males,{H2145} from a month{H2320} old{H1121} and upward,{H4605} were six{H8337} thousand{H505} and two hundred.{H3967} 35 And the prince{H5387} of the fathers'{H1} house{H1004} of the families{H4940} of Merari{H4847} was Zuriel{H6700} the son{H1121} of Abihail:{H32} they shall encamp{H2583} on the side{H3409} of the tabernacle{H4908} northward.{H6828} 36 And the appointed{H6486} charge{H4931} of the sons{H1121} of Merari{H4847} shall be the boards{H7175} of the tabernacle,{H4908} and the bars{H1280} thereof, and the pillars{H5982} thereof, and the sockets{H134} thereof, and all the instruments{H3627} thereof, and all the service{H5656} thereof, 37 and the pillars{H5982} of the court{H2691} round about,{H5439} and their sockets,{H134} and their pins,{H3489} and their cords.{H4340} 38 And those that encamp{H2583} before{H6440} the tabernacle{H4908} eastward,{H6924} before{H6440} the tent{H168} of meeting{H4150} toward the sunrising,{H4217} shall be Moses,{H4872} and Aaron{H175} and his sons,{H1121} keeping{H8104} the charge{H4931} of the sanctuary{H4720} for the charge{H4931} of the children{H1121} of Israel;{H3478} and the stranger{H2114} that cometh nigh{H7131} shall be put to death.{H4191} 39 All that were numbered{H6485} of the Levites,{H3881} whom Moses{H4872} and Aaron{H175} numbered{H6485} at the commandment{H6310} of Jehovah,{H3068} by their families,{H4940} all the males{H2145} from a month{H2320} old{H1121} and upward,{H4605} were twenty{H6242} and two{H8147} thousand.{H505} 40 And Jehovah{H3068} said{H559} unto Moses,{H4872} Number{H6485} all the first-born{H1060} males{H2145} of the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} from a month{H2320} old{H1121} and upward,{H4605} and take{H5375} the number{H4557} of their names.{H8034} 41 And thou shalt take{H3947} the Levites{H3881} for me (I am Jehovah){H3068} instead of all the first-born{H1060} among the children{H1121} of Israel;{H3478} and the cattle{H929} of the Levites{H3881} instead of all the firstlings{H1060} among the cattle{H929} of the children{H1121} of Israel:{H3478} 42 and Moses{H4872} numbered,{H6485} as Jehovah{H3068} commanded{H6680} him, all the first-born{H1060} among the children{H1121} of Israel.{H3478} 43 And all the first-born{H1060} males{H2145} according to the number{H4557} of names,{H8034} from a month{H2320} old{H1121} and upward,{H4605} of those that were numbered{H6485} of them, were twenty{H6242} and two{H8147} thousand{H505} two hundred{H3967} and threescore and thirteen.{H7657} 44 And Jehovah{H3068} spake{H1696} unto Moses,{H4872} saying,{H559} 45 Take{H3947} the Levites{H3881} instead of all the first-born{H1060} among the children{H1121} of Israel,{H3478} and the cattle{H929} of the Levites{H3881} instead of their cattle;{H929} and the Levites{H3881} shall be mine: I am Jehovah.{H3068} 46 And for the redemption{H6302} of the two hundred{H3967} and threescore and thirteen{H7657} of the first-born{H1060} of the children{H1121} of Israel,{H3478} that are over and above{H5736} [the number]{H5921} [of] the Levites,{H3881} 47 thou shalt take{H3947} five{H2568} shekels{H8255} apiece by the poll;{H1538} after the shekel{H8255} of the sanctuary{H6944} shalt thou take{H3947} them (the shekel{H8255} is twenty{H6242} gerahs):{H1626} 48 and thou shalt give{H5414} the money,{H3701} wherewith the odd number{H5736} of them is redeemed,{H6302} unto Aaron{H175} and to his sons.{H1121} 49 And Moses{H4872} took{H3947} the redemption-money{H6306} from{H3701} them that were over{H5736} and above them that were redeemed{H6302} by the Levites;{H3881} 50 from the first-born{H1060} of the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} took{H3947} he the money,{H3701} a thousand{H505} three{H7969} hundred{H3967} and threescore{H8346} and five{H2568} [shekels], after the shekel{H8255} of the sanctuary:{H6944} 51 and Moses{H4872} gave{H5414} the{H3701} redemption-money{H6302} unto Aaron{H175} and to his sons,{H1121} according to the word{H6310} of Jehovah,{H3068} as Jehovah{H3068} commanded{H6680} Moses.{H4872} 1 And Jehovah{H3068} spake{H1696} unto Moses{H4872} and unto Aaron,{H175} saying,{H559} 2 Take{H5375} the sum{H7218} of the sons{H1121} of Kohath{H6955} from among{H8432} the sons{H1121} of Levi,{H3878} by their families,{H4940} by their fathers'{H1} houses,{H1004} 3 from thirty{H7970} years{H8141} old{H1121} and upward{H4605} even until fifty{H2572} years{H8141} old,{H1121} all that enter{H935} upon the service,{H6635} to do{H6213} the work{H4399} in the tent{H168} of meeting.{H4150} 4 This is the service{H5656} of the sons{H1121} of Kohath{H6955} in the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} [about] the most{H6944} holy things:{H6944} 5 when the camp{H4264} setteth forward,{H5265} Aaron{H175} shall go in,{H935} and his sons,{H1121} and they shall take down{H3381} the veil{H6532} of the screen,{H4539} and cover{H3680} the ark{H727} of the testimony{H5715} with it, 6 and shall put{H5414} thereon a covering{H3681} of{H8476} sealskin,{H5785} and shall spread{H6566} over{H4605} it a cloth{H899} all{H3632} of blue,{H8504} and shall put{H7760} in the staves{H905} thereof. 7 And upon the table{H7979} of showbread{H6440} they shall spread{H6566} a cloth{H899} of blue,{H8504} and put{H5414} thereon the dishes,{H7086} and the spoons,{H3709} and the bowls{H4518} and the cups{H7184} wherewith{H5262} to pour out; and the continual{H8548} bread{H3899} shall be thereon: 8 and they shall spread{H6566} upon them a cloth{H899} of scarlet,{H8438} and cover{H3680} the same with a covering{H4372} of{H8476} sealskin,{H5785} and shall put{H7760} in the staves{H905} thereof. 9 And they shall take{H3947} a cloth{H899} of blue,{H8504} and cover{H3680} the candlestick{H4501} of the light,{H3974} and its lamps,{H5216} and its snuffers,{H4457} and its snuffdishes,{H4289} and all the oil{H8081} vessels{H3627} thereof, wherewith they minister{H8334} unto it: 10 and they shall put{H5414} it and all the vessels{H3627} thereof within a covering{H4372} of{H8476} sealskin,{H5785} and shall put{H5414} it upon the frame.{H4132} 11 And upon the golden{H2091} altar{H4196} they shall spread{H6566} a cloth{H899} of blue,{H8504} and cover{H3680} it with a covering{H4372} of{H8476} sealskin,{H5785} and shall put{H7760} in the staves{H905} thereof: 12 and they shall take{H3947} all the vessels{H3627} of ministry,{H8335} wherewith they minister{H8334} in the sanctuary,{H6944} and put{H5414} them in a cloth{H899} of blue,{H8504} and cover{H3680} them with a covering{H4372} of{H8476} sealskin,{H5785} and shall put{H5414} them on the frame.{H4132} 13 And they shall take away the ashes{H1878} from the altar,{H4196} and spread{H6566} a purple{H713} cloth{H899} thereon: 14 and they shall put{H5414} upon it all the vessels{H3627} thereof, wherewith they minister{H8334} about it, the firepans,{H4289} the flesh-hooks,{H4207} and the shovels,{H3257} and the basins,{H4219} all the vessels{H3627} of the altar;{H4196} and they shall spread{H6566} upon it a covering{H3681} of{H8476} sealskin,{H5785} and put{H7760} in the staves{H905} thereof. 15 And when Aaron{H175} and his sons{H1121} have made an end{H3615} of covering{H3680} the sanctuary,{H6944} and all the furniture{H3627} of the sanctuary,{H6944} as the camp{H4264} is set forward;{H5265} after{H310} that, the sons{H1121} of Kohath{H6955} shall come{H935} to bear{H5375} it: but they shall not touch{H5060} the sanctuary,{H6944} lest they die.{H4191} These things are the burden{H4853} of the sons{H1121} of Kohath{H6955} in the tent{H168} of meeting.{H4150} 16 And the charge{H6486} of Eleazar{H499} the son{H1121} of Aaron{H175} the priest{H3548} shall be the oil{H8081} for the light,{H3974} and the sweet{H5561} incense,{H7004} and the continual{H8548} meal-offering,{H4503} and the anointing{H4888} oil,{H8081} the charge{H6486} of all the tabernacle,{H4908} and of all that therein is, the sanctuary,{H6944} and the furniture{H3627} thereof. 17 And Jehovah{H3068} spake{H1696} unto Moses{H4872} and unto Aaron,{H175} saying,{H559} 18 Cut ye not off{H3772} the tribe{H7626} of the families{H4940} of the Kohathites{H6956} from among{H8432} the Levites;{H3881} 19 but thus do{H6213} unto them, that they may live,{H2421} and not die,{H4191} when they approach{H5066} unto the most{H6944} holy things:{H6944} Aaron{H175} and his sons{H1121} shall go in,{H935} and appoint{H7760} them every{H376} one{H376} to his service{H5656} and to his burden;{H4853} 20 but they shall not go in{H935} to see{H7200} the sanctuary{H6944} even for a moment,{H1104} lest they die.{H4191} 21 And Jehovah{H3068} spake{H1696} unto Moses,{H4872} saying,{H559} 22 Take{H5375} the sum{H7218} of the sons{H1121} of Gershon{H1648} also, by their fathers'{H1} houses,{H1004} by their families;{H4940} 23 from thirty{H7970} years{H8141} old{H1121} and upward{H4605} until fifty{H2572} years{H8141} old{H1121} shalt thou number{H6485} them; all that enter in{H935} to wait{H6633} upon the service,{H6635} to do{H5647} the work{H5656} in the tent{H168} of meeting.{H4150} 24 This is the service{H5656} of the families{H4940} of the Gershonites,{H1649} in serving{H5647} and in bearing burdens:{H4853} 25 they shall bear{H5375} the curtains{H3407} of the tabernacle,{H4908} and the tent{H4908} of meeting,{H4150} its covering,{H4372} and the covering{H4372} of sealskin{H8476} that is above{H4605} upon it, and the screen{H4539} for the door{H6607} of the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} 26 and the hangings{H7050} of the court,{H2691} and the screen{H4539} for the door{H6607} of the gate{H8179} of the court,{H2691} which is by the tabernacle{H4908} and by the altar{H4196} round about,{H5439} and their cords,{H4340} and all the instruments{H3627} of their service,{H5656} and whatsoever shall be done{H6213} with them: therein shall they serve.{H5647} 27 At the commandment{H6310} of Aaron{H175} and his sons{H1121} shall be all the service{H5656} of the sons{H1121} of the Gershonites,{H1649} in all their burden,{H4853} and in all their service;{H5656} and ye shall appoint{H6485} unto them in charge{H4931} all their burden.{H4853} 28 This is the service{H5656} of the families{H4940} of the sons{H1121} of the Gershonites{H1649} in the tent{H168} of meeting:{H4150} and their charge{H4931} shall be under the hand{H3027} of Ithamar{H385} the son{H1121} of Aaron{H175} the priest.{H3548} 29 As for the sons{H1121} of Merari,{H4847} thou shalt number{H6485} them by their families,{H4940} by their fathers'{H1} houses;{H1004} 30 from thirty{H7970} years{H8141} old{H1121} and upward{H4605} even unto fifty{H2572} years{H8141} old{H1121} shalt thou number{H6485} them, every one that entereth{H935} upon the service,{H6635} to do{H5647} the work{H5656} of the tent{H168} of meeting.{H4150} 31 And this is the charge{H4931} of their burden,{H4853} according to all their service{H5656} in the tent{H168} of meeting:{H4150} the boards{H7175} of the tabernacle,{H4908} and the bars{H1280} thereof, and the pillars{H5982} thereof, and the sockets{H134} thereof, 32 and the pillars{H5982} of the court{H2691} round about,{H5439} and their sockets,{H134} and their pins,{H3489} and their cords,{H4340} with all their instruments,{H3627} and with all their service:{H5656} and by name{H8034} ye shall appoint{H6485} the instruments{H3627} of the charge{H4931} of their burden.{H4853} 33 This is the service{H5656} of the families{H4940} of the sons{H1121} of Merari,{H4847} according to all their service,{H5656} in the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} under the hand{H3027} of Ithamar{H385} the son{H1121} of Aaron{H175} the priest.{H3548} 34 And Moses{H4872} and Aaron{H175} and the princes{H5387} of the congregation{H5712} numbered{H6485} the sons{H1121} of the Kohathites{H6956} by their families,{H4940} and by their fathers'{H1} houses,{H1004} 35 from thirty{H7970} years{H8141} old{H1121} and upward{H4605} even unto fifty{H2572} years{H8141} old,{H1121} every one that entered{H935} upon the service,{H6635} for work{H5656} in the tent{H168} of meeting:{H4150} 36 and those that were numbered{H6485} of them by their families{H4940} were two thousand{H505} seven{H7651} hundred{H3967} and fifty.{H2572} 37 These are they that were numbered{H6485} of the families{H4940} of the Kohathites,{H6956} all that did serve{H5647} in the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} whom Moses{H4872} and Aaron{H175} numbered{H6485} according to the commandment{H6310} of Jehovah{H3068} by{H3027} Moses.{H4872} 38 And those that were numbered{H6485} of the sons{H1121} of Gershon,{H1648} their families,{H4940} and by their fathers'{H1} houses,{H1004} 39 from thirty{H7970} years{H8141} old{H1121} and upward{H4605} even unto fifty{H2572} years{H8141} old,{H1121} every one that entered{H935} upon the service,{H6635} for work{H5656} in the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} 40 even those that were numbered{H6485} of them, by their families,{H4940} by their fathers'{H1} houses,{H1004} were two thousand{H505} and six{H8337} hundred{H3967} and thirty.{H7970} 41 These are they that were numbered{H6485} of the families{H4940} of the sons{H1121} of Gershon,{H1648} all that did serve{H5647} in the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} whom Moses{H4872} and Aaron{H175} numbered{H6485} according to the commandment{H6310} of Jehovah.{H3068} 42 And those that were numbered{H6485} of the families{H4940} of the sons{H1121} of Merari,{H4847} by their families,{H4940} by their fathers'{H1} houses,{H1004} 43 from thirty{H7970} years{H8141} old{H1121} and upward{H4605} even unto fifty{H2572} years{H8141} old,{H1121} every one that entered{H935} upon the service,{H6635} for work{H5656} in the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} 44 even those that were numbered{H6485} of them by their families,{H4940} were three{H7969} thousand{H505} and two hundred.{H3967} 45 These are they that were numbered{H6485} of the families{H4940} of the sons{H1121} of Merari,{H4847} whom Moses{H4872} and Aaron{H175} numbered{H6485} according to the commandment{H6310} of Jehovah{H3068} by{H3027} Moses.{H4872} 46 All those that were numbered{H6485} of the Levites,{H3881} whom Moses{H4872} and Aaron{H175} and the princes{H5387} of Israel{H3478} numbered,{H6485} by their families,{H4940} and by their fathers'{H1} houses,{H1004} 47 from thirty{H7970} years{H8141} old{H1121} and upward{H4605} even unto fifty{H2572} years{H8141} old,{H1121} every one that entered{H935} in to do{H5647} the work{H5656} of service,{H5656} and the work of bearing burdens{H4853} in the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} 48 even those that were numbered{H6485} of them, were eight{H8083} thousand{H505} and five{H2568} hundred{H3967} and fourscore.{H8084} 49 According to the commandment{H6310} of Jehovah{H3068} they were numbered{H6485} by{H3027} Moses,{H4872} every{H376} one{H376} according to his service,{H5656} and according to his burden:{H4853} thus were they numbered{H6485} of him, as Jehovah{H3068} commanded{H6680} Moses.{H4872}

thereof round about{H5439} it; 56 but the fields{H7704} of the city,{H5892} and the villages{H2691} thereof, they gave{H5414} to Caleb{H3612} the son{H1121} of Jephunneh.{H3312} 57 And to the sons{H1121} of Aaron{H175} they gave{H5414} the cities{H5892} of refuge,{H4733} Hebron;{H2275} Libnah{H3841} also with its suburbs,{H4054} and Jattir,{H3492} and Eshtemoa{H851} with its suburbs,{H4054} 58 and Hilen{H2432} with its suburbs,{H4054} Debir{H1688} with its suburbs,{H4054} 59 and Ashan{H6228} with its suburbs,{H4054} and Beth-shemesh{H1053} with its suburbs;{H4054} 60 and out of the tribe{H4294} of Benjamin,{H1144} Geba{H1387} with its suburbs,{H4054} and Allemeth{H5964} with its suburbs,{H4054} and Anathoth{H6068} with its suburbs.{H4054} All their cities{H5892} throughout their families{H4940} were thirteen{H7969} cities.{H5892} 61 And unto the rest of the sons{H1121} of Kohath{H6955} [were given] by lot,{H1486} out{H3498} of the family{H4940} of the tribe,{H4294} out of the half-tribe,{H2677} {H4294} the half{H4276} of Manasseh,{H4519} ten{H6235} cities.{H5892} 62 And to the sons{H1121} of Gershom,{H1647} according to their families,{H4940} out of the tribe{H4294} of Issachar,{H3485} and out of the tribe{H4294} of Asher,{H836} and out of the tribe{H4294} of Naphtali,{H5321} and out of the tribe{H4294} of Manasseh{H4519} in Bashan,{H1316} thirteen{H7969} cities.{H5892} 63 Unto the sons{H1121} of Merari{H4847} [were given] by lot,{H1486} according to their families,{H4940} out of the tribe{H4294} of Reuben,{H7205} and out of the tribe{H4294} of Gad,{H1410} and out of the tribe{H4294} of Zebulun,{H2074} twelve{H8147} cities.{H5892} 64 And the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} gave{H5414} to the Levites{H3881} the cities{H5892} Kohath{H6955} had cities{H5892} of their borders{H1366} out of the tribe{H4294} of Ephraim.{H669} 67 And they gave{H5414} unto them the cities{H5892} of refuge,{H4733} Shechem{H7927} in the hill-country{H2022} of Ephraim{H669} with its suburbs;{H4054} Gezer{H1507} also with its suburbs,{H4054} 68 and Jokmeam{H3361} with its suburbs,{H4054} and Beth-horon{H1032} with its suburbs,{H4054} 69 and Aijalon{H357} with its suburbs,{H4054} and Gath-rimmon{H1667} with its suburbs;{H4054} 70 and out of the half-tribe{H4276} {H4294} of Manasseh,{H4519} Aner{H6063} with its suburbs,{H4054} and Bileam{H1109} with its suburbs,{H4054} for the rest{H3498} of the family{H4940} of the sons{H1121} of Kohath.{H6955} 71 Unto the sons{H1121} of Gershom{H1647} [were given], out of the family{H4940} of the half-tribe{H2677} {H4294} of Manasseh,{H4519} Golan{H1474} in Bashan{H1316} with its suburbs,{H4054} and Ashtaroth{H6252} with its suburbs;{H4054} 72 and out of the tribe{H4294} of Issachar,{H3485} Kedesh{H6943} with its suburbs,{H4054} Daberath{H1705} with its suburbs,{H4054} 73 and Ramoth{H7216} with its suburbs,{H4054} and Anem{H6046} with its suburbs;{H4054} 74 and out of the tribe{H4294} of Asher,{H836} Mashal{H4913} with its suburbs,{H4054} and Abdon{H5658} with its suburbs,{H4054} 75 and Hukok{H2712} with its suburbs,{H4054} and Rehob{H7340} with its suburbs;{H4054} 76 and out of the tribe{H4294} of Naphtali,{H5321} Kedesh{H6943} in Galilee{H1551} with its suburbs,{H4054} and Hammon{H2540} with its suburbs,{H4054} and Kiriathaim{H7156} with its suburbs.{H4054} 77 Unto the rest{H3498} of [the Levites], the sons{H1121} of Merari,{H4847} [were given], out of the tribe{H4294} of Zebulun,{H2074} Rimmono{H7417} with its suburbs,{H4054} Tabor{H8396} with its suburbs;{H4054} 78 and beyond{H5676} the Jordan{H3383} at Jericho,{H3405} on the east side{H5676} of the Jordan,{H3383} [were given them], out of the tribe{H4294} of Reuben,{H7205} Bezer{H1221} in the wilderness{H4057} with its suburbs,{H4054} and Jahzah{H3096} with its suburbs,{H4054} 79 and Kedemoth{H6932} with its suburbs,{H4054} and Mephaath{H4158} with its suburbs;{H4054} 80 and out of the lamps{H5216} shall give light{H215} in front{H6440} of the candlestick.{H4501} 3 And Aaron{H175} did{H6213} so; he lighted{H5927} the lamps{H5216} thereof [so as to give light] in front{H4136} of the Jehovah{H3068} spake{H1696} unto Moses,{H4872} saying,{H559} 6 Take{H3947} the Levites{H3881} from among{H8432} the children{H1121} of Israel,{H3478} and cleanse{H2891} them. 7 And thus shalt thou do{H6213} unto them, to cleanse{H2891} them: sprinkle{H5137} the water{H4325} of expiation{H2403} upon them, and let them cause a razor{H8593} to pass over all their flesh,{H1320} and let them wash{H3526} their clothes,{H899} and cleanse{H2891} themselves. 8 Then let them take{H3947} a young{H1121} bullock,{H6499} and its meal-offering,{H4503} fine flour{H5560} mingled{H1101} with shall lay{H5564} their hands{H3027} upon the heads{H7218} of the bullocks:{H6499} and offer{H6213} thou the one{H259} for a sin-offering,{H2403} and the other{H259} for a burnt-offering,{H2403} unto Jehovah,{H3068} to make atonement{H3722} for the Levites.{H3881} 13 And thou shalt set{H5975} the Levites{H3881} before{H6440} Aaron,{H175} and before{H6440} his sons,{H1121} and offer{H5130} them for after{H310} that shall the Levites{H3881} go in{H935} to do the service{H5647} of the tent{H168} of meeting:{H4150} and thou shalt cleanse{H2891} them, and offer{H5130} them for a wave-offering.{H8573} 16 For they are wholly given{H5414} unto me from among{H8432} the children{H1121} of Israel;{H3478} instead of all that openeth{H6363} the womb,{H7358} even the first-born{H1060} of all the children{H1121} of Israel,{H3478} have I taken{H3947} them unto me. 17 For all the first-born{H1060} among the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} are mine, both man{H120} and beast:{H929} on the day{H3117} that I smote{H5221} all the first-born{H1060} in the land{H776} of Egypt{H4714} I sanctified{H6942} them for myself. 18 And I have taken{H3947} the Levites{H3881} instead of all the first-born{H1060} among the children{H1121} of Israel.{H3478} 19 And I have given{H5414} the Levites{H3881} as a gift{H5414} to Aaron{H175} and to his sons{H1121} from among{H8432} the children{H1121} of Israel,{H3478} to do{H5647} the service{H5656} of the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} in the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} and to make atonement{H3722} for the children{H1121} of Israel;{H3478} that there be no plague{H5063} among the children{H1121} of Israel,{H3478} when the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} come nigh{H5066} unto the sanctuary.{H6944} 20 Thus did{H6213} Moses,{H4872} and Aaron,{H175} and all the congregation{H5712} of the children{H1121} of Israel,{H3478} unto the Levites:{H3881} according unto all that Jehovah{H3068} commanded{H6680} Moses{H4872} touching the Levites,{H3881} so did{H6213} the children{H1121} of Israel{H3478} unto them. 21 And the Levites{H3881} purified{H2398} themselves from sin, and they washed{H3526} their clothes:{H899} and Aaron{H175} offered{H5130} them for a wave-offering{H8573} before{H6440} Jehovah;{H3068} and Aaron{H175} made atonement{H3722} for them to cleanse{H2891} them. 22 And after{H310} that went{H935} the Levites{H3881} in to do{H5647} their service{H5656} in the tent{H168} of meeting{H4150} before{H6440} Aaron,{H175} and before{H6440} his sons:{H1121} as Jehovah{H3068} had commanded{H6680} Moses{H4872} concerning the Levites,{H3881} so did{H6213} they unto them. 23 And Jehovah{H3068} spake{H1696} unto Moses,{H4872} saying,{H559} 24 This is that which belongeth unto the Levites:{H3881} from twenty{H6242} and five{H2568} years{H8141} old{H1121} and upward{H4605} they shall go in{H935} to wait{H6633} upon the service{H5656} in the work of the tent{H168} of meeting:{H4150} 25 and from the age{H1121} of fifty{H2572} years{H8141} they shall cease{H7725} waiting{H6635} upon the work,{H5656} and shall serve{H5647} no more, 26 but shall minister{H8334} with their brethren{H251} in the tent{H168} of meeting,{H4150} to keep{H8104} the charge,{H4931} and shall do{H5647} no service.{H5656} Thus shalt thou do{H5647} unto the Levites{H3881} touching their charges.{H4931}
