Thus says the LORD: 'For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not revoke punishment, because he pursued his brother with the sword and suppressed compassion. His anger tore continually, and his wrath remained forever.'

So I will send fire upon Teman, and it will consume the palaces of Bozrah.

Så sier Herren: «For tre overtredelser av Ammon, ja for fire, vil jeg ikke ta det tilbake, fordi de skar opp de gravide kvinnene i Gilead for å utvide sitt territorium.»

Thus says the LORD: 'For three transgressions of the Ammonites, and for four, I will not revoke punishment, because they ripped open pregnant women in Gilead in order to enlarge their territory.'

So I will set fire to the wall of Rabbah, and it will consume her palaces amid shouting on the day of battle, with a tempest on the day of the whirlwind.
