Command the Israelites and tell them: When you enter the land of Canaan, this is the land that will be allotted to you as an inheritance—the land of Canaan with its boundaries:

Your southern boundary will begin at the Wilderness of Zin along the border of Edom, and from the eastern end of the Salt Sea.

The boundary will then go out to Ziphron and end at Hazar-enan. This will be your northern boundary.

For your eastern boundary, you are to draw a line from Hazar-enan to Shepham.

The boundary will descend from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain and continue downward along the slopes eastward to the Sea of Galilee.

The boundary will then follow down the Jordan River and end at the Salt Sea. This will define the land with its borders on all sides.

These are the names of the leaders: From the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh.

From the tribe of Simeon, Shemuel son of Ammihud.

For Benjamins stamme er det Elidad, Kislons sønn.

From the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon.

For Dan stamme er det leder Bukki, Joglis sønn.

From the tribe of Dan, the leader Bukki son of Jogli.

For Josefs barn: for Manasses stamme er det leder Hanniel, Efods sønn.

From the sons of Joseph: from the tribe of Manasseh, the leader Hanniel son of Ephod.

For Efraims stamme er det leder Kemuel, Siftans sønn.

From the tribe of Ephraim, the leader Kemuel son of Shiphtan.

For Sebulons stamme er det leder Elizafan, Parnaks sønn.

From the tribe of Zebulun, the leader Elizaphan son of Parnach.

For Isakars stamme er det leder Paltiel, Azzans sønn.

From the tribe of Issachar, the leader Paltiel son of Azzan.

For Asers stamme er det leder Ahihud, Selomis sønn.

From the tribe of Asher, the leader Ahihud son of Shelomi.

For Naftalis stamme er det leder Pedahel, Ammihuds sønn.

From the tribe of Naphtali, the leader Pedahel son of Ammihud.

Disse er de som Herren har befalt å dele arven blant Israels barn i Kanaans land.

These are the men whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance among the Israelites in the land of Canaan.
