Herre, du har vist nåde til ditt land og gjenopprettet Jakobs hjem.

LORD, you have shown favor to your land; you have restored the fortunes of Jacob.

Du har tilgitt ditt folks skyld, dekket over all deres synd. Sela.

You have forgiven the iniquity of your people and covered all their sins. Selah.

Du har trukket din vrede tilbake og vendt deg bort fra din brennende vrede.

You have withdrawn all your wrath and turned from your fierce anger.

Gjenopprett oss, Gud, vår frelser, og legg bort din harme mot oss!

Restore us again, O God of our salvation, and put away your anger toward us.

Vil du være vred på oss for alltid? Vil din vrede vare fra slekt til slekt?

Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger through all generations?

Vil du ikke gi oss liv på ny, så ditt folk kan glede seg i deg?

Will you not revive us again, so that your people may rejoice in you?

Vis oss din miskunn, Herre, og gi oss din frelse.

Show us your steadfast love, LORD, and grant us your salvation.

La meg høre hva Gud Herren vil tale; for han taler fred til sitt folk, sine trofaste, bare de ikke vender seg til dårskap.

I will listen to what God the LORD says; he promises peace to his people, his faithful ones, but let them not return to folly.

Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, so that his glory may dwell in our land.

Miskunn og sannhet møtes; rettferdighet og fred kysser hverandre.

Steadfast love and truth meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other.

Sannhet spirer fram fra jorden, og rettferdighet ser ned fra himmelen.

Truth springs up from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven.

Også Herren vil gi det gode, og vårt land vil gi sin grøde.

Indeed, the LORD will give what is good, and our land will yield its produce.

Rettferdighet går foran ham og setter sine fotspor på veien.

Righteousness will go before him and prepare the way for his steps.
