After these things, I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, 'Hallelujah! Salvation, glory, honor, and power belong to our Lord God.'

For sanne og rettferdige er hans dommer. Han har dømt den store skjøgen som ødela jorden med sitt horeri, og han har hevnet blodet til sine tjenere på henne.

For His judgments are true and just; He has judged the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality, and He has avenged the blood of His servants on her.

Og igjen sa de: Halleluja! Røyken fra henne stiger opp i all evighet.

And again they said, 'Hallelujah! The smoke from her rises forever and ever.'

De tjuefire eldste og de fire skapningene falt ned og tilba Gud, som sitter på tronen, og sa: Amen, Halleluja!

The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sits on the throne, saying, 'Amen. Hallelujah!'

Og en stemme kom fra tronen som sa: Lovpris vår Gud, alle hans tjenere, både små og store, som frykter ham!

Then a voice came from the throne, saying, 'Praise our God, all His servants and those who fear Him, both the small and the great.'

Og jeg hørte lyden av en stor skare, og som lyden av mange vann og som lyden av sterke tordener som sa: Halleluja! For Herren vår Gud, Den Allmektige, har tatt kongedømmet.

Then I heard what sounded like the voice of a great multitude, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty thunder, saying, 'Hallelujah! For the Lord God Almighty reigns.'

La oss glede oss og juble, og gi ham æren! For Lammets bryllup er kommet, og hans brud har gjort seg rede.

Let us rejoice and be glad, and give Him glory, because the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His bride has prepared herself.

Og det ble gitt henne å kle seg i rent, skinnende lin, for det fine linet er de rettferdige gjerninger til de hellige.

It was granted to her to be clothed in fine linen, bright and clean. For the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.

Og han sa til meg: Skriv: Salige er de som er innbudt til Lammets bryllupsmåltid. Og han sa til meg: Dette er Guds sanne ord.

Then the angel said to me, 'Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb.' And he added, 'These are the true words of God.'

Og jeg falt ned for å tilbe ved hans føtter. Men han sa til meg: Gjør det ikke. Jeg er en medtjener med deg og dine brødre som har Jesu vitnesbyrd. Tilbe Gud, for Jesu vitnesbyrd er profetiens ånd.

Then I fell down at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, 'Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.'

Og jeg så himmelen åpnet, og se, en hvit hest! Og han som satt på den, kalles Trofast og Sannferdig, og i rettferdighet dømmer han og fører krig.

Then I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse. Its rider is called Faithful and True, and He judges and makes war in righteousness.

Hans øyne var som ildsluer, på hans hode var mange kroner, og han hadde et navn skrevet som ingen kjenner, unntatt han selv.

His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knows except Himself.

Han var kledd i en kappe dyppet i blod, og hans navn er Guds Ord.

He was clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

Hærene i himmelen fulgte ham på hvite hester, kledd i rent, hvitt lin.

The armies of heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.

Ut av hans munn kom det et skarpt sverd, så han kunne slå nasjonene med det. Og han skal styre dem med en jernstav, og han tråkker vinpressen med vin av Guds vredes harme.

Out of His mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.

På hans kappe og hans lår var navnet skrevet: Kongenes Konge og Herrenes Herre.

He has a name written on His robe and on His thigh: King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Og jeg så en engel som sto i solen, og han ropte med høy røst til alle fuglene som flyr midt i himmelen: Kom, saml dere til Guds store festmåltid,

Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out in a loud voice to all the birds flying high overhead: 'Come, gather for the great supper of God,'

for å ete kjøtt av konger, kjøtt av hærførere, kjøtt av veldige menn, kjøtt av hester og deres ryttere, og kjøtt av alle mennesker, både frie og slaver, små og store.

'that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of generals, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, small and great.'

Og jeg så dyret og jordens konger og deres hærer samlet for å føre krig mot ham som sitter på hesten, og mot hans hær.

Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and His army.

Dyret ble tatt til fange, og med det den falske profeten som gjorde tegnene i dets nærvær, med hvilke han forførte dem som hadde fått dyrets merke, og de som tilba dets bilde. De to ble kastet levende i ildsjøen som brenner med svovel.

But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the signs on his behalf. By these signs he had deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with sulfur.

De andre ble drept med sverdet som kom fra munnen til ham som satt på hesten, og alle fuglene mettet seg av deres kjøtt.

The rest were killed by the sword that proceeded from the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.
