Og Herren talte til Moses og sa,

And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

Se, jeg har kalt ved navn Besalel, sønn av Uri, sønn av Hur, fra Judas stamme:

See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:

og jeg har fylt ham med Guds Ånd, i visdom, i innsikt, i kunnskap og i all slags arbeidsskap.

and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,

for å lage kunstferdige arbeider, for å arbeide i gull, sølv og bronse,

to devise skilful works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,

og for å skjære steiner til innfatning, og for å utskjære tre, til å utføre all slags arbeid.

and in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all manner of workmanship.

Og se, jeg har satt hos ham Oholiab, sønn av Ahisamak, fra Dans stamme; og i hjertet til alle som er vise i hjertet har jeg lagt visdom, for at de skal lage alt det jeg har befalt deg:

And I, behold, I have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the heart of all that are wise-hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee:

sammenkomstens telt, vitnesbyrdets ark og nådestolen som er over den, og alt utstyret til teltet,

the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy-seat that is thereupon, and all the furniture of the Tent,

og bordet med dets kar, og den rene lysestaken med alle dens kar, og røkelsesalteret,

and the table and its vessels, and the pure candlestick with all its vessels, and the altar of incense,

og brennofferalteret med alle dets kar, og vaskefatet med dets understell,

and the altar of burnt-offering with all its vessels, and the laver and its base,

og de fint vevde klærne, de hellige klærne for Aron, presten, og klærne for hans sønner, til å tjene som prester,

and the finely wrought garments, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office,

og salvingsoljen og røkelsen av aromatiske krydder for det hellige: de skal gjøre alt etter det jeg har befalt deg.

and the anointing oil, and the incense of sweet spices for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do.

Og Herren talte til Moses og sa,

And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

Tal også til Israels barn og si: Dere skal visselig holde mine sabbater, for det er et tegn mellom meg og dere gjennom alle deres generasjoner, for at dere skal vite at jeg er Herren som helliger dere.

Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily ye shall keep my sabbaths: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am Jehovah who sanctifieth you.

Dere skal holde sabbaten, for den er hellig for dere: hver den som vanhelliger den skal visselig dø; for hver den som gjør noe arbeid på den, den sjel skal utryddes fra sitt folk.

Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that profaneth it shall surely be put to death; for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

Seks dager skal det gjøres arbeid, men på den sjuende dagen er det en sabbat med festlig hvile, hellig for Herren. Hver den som gjør arbeid på sabbatsdagen, han skal visselig dø.

Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, holy to Jehovah: whosoever doeth any work on the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

Derfor skal Israels barn holde sabbaten, for å overholde sabbaten gjennom alle generasjoner, som en evig pakt.

Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

Det er et tegn mellom meg og Israels barn for alltid, for på seks dager laget Herren himmelen og jorden, og på den sjuende dagen hvilte han og ble forfrisket.

It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days Jehovah made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Og han ga til Moses, da han var ferdig med å tale med ham på Sinaifjellet, vitnesbyrdets to tavler, tavler av stein, skrevet med Guds finger.

And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, the two tables of the testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
