Verse 2

But all this time the people were making their offerings in the high places, because no house had been put up to the name of the Lord till those days.

Lev 26:30 : 30 And I will send destruction on your high places, overturning your perfume altars, and will put your dead bodies on your broken images, and my soul will be turned from you in disgust.
