Verse 16

But David was loved by all Israel and Judah, for he went out and came in before them.

1 Sam 18:5 : 5 And David went wherever Saul sent him, and did wisely: and Saul put him at the head of his men of war, and this was pleasing to all the people as well as to Saul's servants.
2 Sam 5:2 : 2 In the past when Saul was king over us, it was you who went at the head of Israel when they went out or came in: and the Lord said to you, You are to be the keeper of my people Israel and their ruler.
1 Kgs 3:7 : 7 And now, O Lord my God, you have made your servant king in the place of David my father; and I am only a young boy, with no knowledge of how to go out or come in.
Luke 19:48 : 48 But they were not able to do anything, because the people all kept near him, being greatly interested in his words.
