Verse 1

Because God, then, will give us such rewards, dear brothers, let us make ourselves clean from all evil of flesh and spirit, and become completely holy in the fear of God.

Prov 20:9 : 9 Who is able to say, I have made my heart clean, I am free from my sin?
Matt 5:48 : 48 Be then complete in righteousness, even as your Father in heaven is complete.
Ezek 18:30-32 : 30 For this cause I will be your judge, O children of Israel, judging every man by his ways, says the Lord.
