Verse 12

Now to such we give orders and make request in the Lord Jesus, that, working quietly, they get their living.

1 Thess 4:11 : 11 And that you may take pride in being quiet and doing your business, working with your hands as we gave you orders;
Eph 4:28 : 28 Let him who was a thief be so no longer, but let him do good work with his hands, so that he may have something to give to him who is in need.
2 Thess 3:8 : 8 And we did not take food from any man for nothing, but were working hard night and day not to be a trouble to any of you:
1 Tim 2:2 : 2 For kings and all those in authority; so that we may have a calm and quiet life in all fear of God and serious behaviour.
1 Thess 4:1 : 1 And last of all, the prayer which we make to you from our heart and in the name of the Lord Jesus, is this: that as we made clear to you what sort of behaviour is pleasing to God, as in fact you are doing now, so you will go on in these ways, but more and more.
Gen 49:14-15 : 14 Issachar is a strong ass stretched out among the flocks: 15 And he saw that rest was good and the land was pleasing; so he let them put weights on his back and became a servant.
Prov 17:1 : 1 Better a bit of dry bread in peace, than a house full of feasting and violent behaviour.
Eccl 4:6 : 6 One hand full of rest is better than two hands full of trouble and desire for wind.
Luke 11:3 : 3 Give us every day bread for our needs.
