Verse 27

But for the fear that their haters, uplifted in their pride, might say, Our hand is strong, the Lord has not done all this.

As if a rod had the power of shaking him who is using it, or as if a stick might take up him who is not wood.
Isa 37:10 : 10 This is what you are to say to Hezekiah, king of Judah: Let not your God, in whom is your faith, give you a false hope, saying, Jerusalem will not be given into the hands of the king of Assyria.
