Verse 5

With knowledge of the good word of God, and of the powers of the coming time,

Heb 2:5 : 5 For he did not make the angels rulers over the world to come, of which I am writing.
1 Pet 2:3 : 3 If you have had a taste of the grace of the Lord:
2 Pet 2:20 : 20 For if, after they have got free from the unclean things of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again taken in the net and overcome, their last condition is worse than their first.
Matt 13:20-21 : 20 And that which went on the stones, this is he who, hearing the word, straight away takes it with joy; 21 But having no root in himself, he goes on for a time; and when trouble comes or pain, because of the word, he quickly becomes full of doubts.
Mark 4:16-17 : 16 And in the same way, these are they who are planted on the stones, who, when the word has come to their ears, straight away take it with joy; 17 And they have no root in themselves, but go on for a time; then, when trouble comes or pain, because of the word, they quickly become full of doubts.
Mark 6:20 : 20 For Herod was in fear of John, being conscious that he was an upright and holy man, and kept him safe. And hearing him, he was much troubled; and he gave ear to him gladly.
Luke 8:13 : 13 And those on the rock are those who with joy give hearing to the word; but having no root, they have faith for a time, and when the test comes they give up.
