Verse 1

And the Lord made answer to Job out of the storm-wind, and said,

• Job 40:6 : 6 Let your wrath be overflowing; let your eyes see all the sons of pride, and make them low.
• Ezek 1:4 : 4 And, looking, I saw a storm-wind coming out of the north, a great cloud with flames of fire coming after one another, and a bright light shining round about it and in the heart of it was something coloured like electrum.

• 1 Kgs 19:11 : 11 Then he said, Go out and take your place on the mountain before the Lord. Then the Lord went by, and mountains were parted by the force of a great wind, and rocks were broken before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind there was an earth-shock, but the Lord was not in the earth-shock.
• 2 Kgs 2:1 : 1 Now when the Lord was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a great wind, Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.
