Verse 48

But he in answer said to him who gave the news, Who is my mother and who are my brothers?

Deut 33:9 : 9 Who said of his father, Who is he? and of his mother, I have not seen her; he kept himself separate from his brothers and had no knowledge of his children: for they have given ear to your word and kept your agreement.
Matt 10:37 : 37 He who has more love for his father or mother than for me is not good enough for me; he who has more love for son or daughter than for me is not good enough for me.
Mark 3:32-33 : 32 And a great number were seated round him; and they said to him, See, your mother and your brothers are outside looking for you. 33 And he said in answer, Who are my mother and my brothers?
Luke 2:49 : 49 And he said to them, Why were you looking for me? was it not clear to you that my right place was in my Father's house?
Luke 2:52 : 52 And Jesus was increasing in wisdom and in years, and in grace before God and men.
John 2:3-4 : 3 When they had not enough wine, the mother of Jesus said to him, They have no wine. 4 Jesus said to her, Woman, this is not your business; my time is still to come.
