Verse 10

And his disciples, questioning him, said, Why then do the scribes say that Elijah has to come first?

Matt 11:14 : 14 And if you are able to see it, this is Elijah who was to come.
Mal 4:5-6 : 5 See, I am sending you Elijah the prophet before the day of the Lord comes, that great day, greatly to be feared. 6 And by him the hearts of fathers will be turned to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers; for fear that I may come and put the earth under a curse.
John 1:25 : 25 And they put this question to him, saying, Why then are you giving baptism if you are not the Christ, or Elijah, or the prophet?
Matt 17:3-4 : 3 And Moses and Elijah came before their eyes, talking with him. 4 And Peter made answer and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if you will let me, I will make here three tents, one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.
Matt 27:47-49 : 47 And some of those who were near by, hearing it, said, This man is crying to Elijah. 48 And straight away one of them went quickly, and took a sponge, and made it full of bitter wine, and put it on a rod and gave him drink. 49 And the rest said, Let him be; let us see if Elijah will come to his help.
Mark 9:11 : 11 And they put a question to him, saying, Why do the scribes say that Elijah has to come first?
John 1:21 : 21 And they said to him, What then? Are you Elijah? And he said, I am not. Are you the prophet? And his answer was, I am not.
