Verse 20

But they themselves are not to go in to see the holy place, even for a minute, for fear of death.

Exod 19:21 : 21 And the Lord said to Moses, Go down and give the people orders to keep back, for fear that a great number of them, forcing their way through to see the Lord, may come to destruction.
1 Sam 6:19 : 19 But the Lord sent destruction on seventy men of the people of Beth-shemesh for looking into the ark of the Lord; and great was the sorrow of the people for the destruction which the Lord had sent on them.
