Verse 3

For what the law was not able to do because it was feeble through the flesh, God, sending his Son in the image of the evil flesh, and as an offering for sin, gave his decision against sin in the flesh:

He took away the old order, so that he might put the new order in its place. 10 By that pleasure we have been made holy, by the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for ever.
John 1:14 : 14 And so the Word became flesh and took a place among us for a time; and we saw his glory--such glory as is given to an only son by his father--saw it to be true and full of grace.

But I would not have had knowledge of sin but for the law: for I would not have been conscious of desire if the law had not said, You may not have a desire for what is another's. 8 But sin, taking its chance through that which was ordered by the law, was working in me every form of desire: because without the law sin is dead. 9 And there was a time when I was living without the law: but when the law gave its orders, sin came to life and put me to death; 10 And I made the discovery that the law whose purpose was to give life had become a cause of death: 11 For I was tricked and put to death by sin, which took its chance through the law.
Rom 8:32 : 32 He who did not keep back his only Son, but gave him up for us all, will he not with him freely give us all things?
Rom 9:3 : 3 For I have a desire to take on myself the curse for my brothers, my family in the flesh:
1 Pet 2:24 : 24 He took our sins on himself, giving his body to be nailed on the tree, so that we, being dead to sin, might have a new life in righteousness, and by his wounds we have been made well.
1 Pet 4:1-2 : 1 So that as Jesus was put to death in the flesh, do you yourselves be of the same mind; for the death of the flesh puts an end to sin; 2 So that you may give the rest of your lives in the flesh, not to the desires of men, but to the purpose of God.
1 John 4:10-14 : 10 And this is love, not that we had love for God, but that he had love for us, and sent his Son to be an offering for our sins. 11 My loved ones, if God had such love for us, it is right for us to have love for one another. 12 No man has ever seen God: if we have love for one another, God is in us and his love is made complete in us: 13 And his Spirit which he has given us is the witness that we are in him and he is in us. 14 And we have seen and give witness that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
