If you see your brother's ox or sheep wandering off, do not ignore it. Be sure to return it to your brother.

Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.

If your brother is not nearby or you do not know who he is, take the animal to your house and keep it with you until your brother comes looking for it. Then, you must return it to him.

And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.

Do the same with his donkey, his garment, or any lost item that belongs to your brother, which you find. Do not ignore it; you must return it.

In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother's, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.

If you see your brother's donkey or ox fallen on the road, do not ignore it. Help him lift it back up.

Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.

A woman shall not wear men’s clothing, nor shall a man put on women’s clothing, for anyone who does such things is detestable to the LORD your God.

The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

If you come across a bird’s nest along the road, in a tree or on the ground, and it contains young birds or eggs with the mother sitting on them, do not take the mother with the young.

If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:

You must send the mother bird away, but you may take the young for yourself. This will ensure that it goes well with you, and you will have a long life.

But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.

When you build a new house, make a parapet around your roof so that you do not bring bloodguilt upon your house if someone falls from it.

When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.

Do not plant two kinds of seeds in your vineyard, or the entire harvest, both the crop you plant and the fruit of the vineyard, will be forfeited.

Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.

Do not plow with an ox and a donkey yoked together.

Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.

Do not wear clothing woven from wool and linen together.

Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.

Make tassels on the four corners of the cloak you wear.

Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.

If a man marries a woman, has relations with her, and then turns against her,

If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,

accusing her of misconduct and giving her a bad name by saying, 'I married this woman, but when I came to her, I did not find proof of her virginity,'

And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:

then the young woman’s father and mother shall bring the proof of her virginity to the elders at the gate of the town.

Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:

The father shall say to the elders, 'I gave my daughter to this man to be his wife, and now he has turned against her.'

And the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;

And now he has made false accusations against her, saying, 'I did not find your daughter to be a virgin.' But here is the evidence of my daughter's virginity.' Then they shall spread out the cloth before the elders of the city.

And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.

The elders of that city shall take the man and discipline him.

And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;

They shall fine him a hundred shekels of silver and give them to the young woman's father, because this man has given an Israelite virgin a bad name. She shall remain his wife, and he can never divorce her as long as he lives.

And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.

But if the accusation is true and there is no proof of the young woman's virginity,

But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:

then they shall bring the young woman to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones. She has committed a disgraceful act in Israel by being promiscuous while in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from among you.

Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.

If a man is found lying with another man’s wife, both the man and the woman who were together must die. You must purge the evil from Israel.

If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.

If there is a young woman who is a virgin betrothed to a man, and another man finds her in the city and lies with her,

If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;

then you shall bring both of them to the gate of that city and stone them to death: the young woman because she did not cry out in the city, and the man because he violated another man’s wife. You must purge the evil from among you.

Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.

But if a man finds a betrothed young woman in the countryside, and forces her and lies with her, only the man who has done this shall die.

But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:

You shall do nothing to the young woman; she has committed no sin deserving death. This case is like when a man rises against his neighbor and murders him.

But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:

For he found her in the field, and though the betrothed young woman cried out for help, there was no one to rescue her.

For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.

If a man finds a young woman who is a virgin and not betrothed, and he seizes her and lies with her, and they are discovered,

If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;

then the man who lay with her shall give fifty shekels of silver to the young woman’s father, and she shall become his wife. Because he has violated her, he can never divorce her as long as he lives.

Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
