If a thief is caught breaking in and is struck and killed, there is no bloodguilt for his death.

If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.

If the sun has risen on him, there is bloodguilt for his death. He must pay restitution; and if he owns nothing, he shall be sold for his theft.

If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.

If what was stolen is found alive in his possession, whether it is an ox, a donkey, or a sheep, he must pay back double.

If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man's field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.

If a man gives silver or goods to his neighbor for safekeeping, and they are stolen from the neighbor's house, if the thief is caught, he must pay back double.

If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.

If the thief is not found, the owner of the house must present himself before God to determine whether he has taken his neighbor’s property.

If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man's house; if the thief be found, let him pay double.

In all cases of dishonest dealings, whether involving an ox, a donkey, a sheep, a garment, or anything lost that someone claims to be theirs, both parties must present their cases before God. The one whom God condemns must pay back double to the other.

If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour's goods.

the issue between them will be settled by an oath before the Lord that the neighbor has not taken the other’s property. The owner must accept this, and no restitution is required.

If a man deliver unto his neighbour an ass, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to keep; and it die, or be hurt, or driven away, no man seeing it:

But if the animal was stolen from the neighbor, restitution must be made to the owner.

Then shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he hath not put his hand unto his neighbour's goods; and the owner of it shall accept thereof, and he shall not make it good.

If it was attacked and torn apart by a wild animal, the neighbor must provide evidence of this, but does not need to pay restitution for the torn animal.

And if it be stolen from him, he shall make restitution unto the owner thereof.

If a man borrows an animal from his neighbor and it is injured or dies when its owner is not present, he must make restitution.

If it be torn in pieces, then let him bring it for witness, and he shall not make good that which was torn.

If the owner is with the animal, the borrower does not need to pay. If it was rented, the payment covers the loss.

And if a man borrow ought of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof being not with it, he shall surely make it good.

If a man seduces a virgin who is not pledged to be married and sleeps with her, he must pay the bride price for her and make her his wife.

But if the owner thereof be with it, he shall not make it good: if it be an hired thing, it came for his hire.

If her father absolutely refuses to give her to him, the man must still pay the bride price for virgins.

And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.

Do not allow a sorceress to live.

If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.

Anyone who has sexual relations with an animal must surely be put to death.

Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

Whoever sacrifices to gods other than the Lord must be utterly destroyed.

Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death.

You must not mistreat or oppress a foreigner, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.

He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.

Do not afflict a widow or an orphan.

Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

If you do afflict them and they cry out to me, I will certainly hear their cry.

Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.

My anger will burn, and I will kill you with the sword; your wives will become widows and your children fatherless.

If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry;

If you lend money to my people, to the poor among you, you must not act as a creditor to him; do not charge him interest.

And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

If you take your neighbor's cloak as a pledge, return it to him before the sun sets.

If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury.

For it is his only covering, the cloak for his body. What else can he sleep in? If he cries out to me, I will hear him, for I am gracious.

If thou at all take thy neighbour's raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him by that the sun goeth down:

Do not blaspheme God or curse the leader of your people.

For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his skin: wherein shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious.

Do not hold back offerings from your harvest or your wine presses. You must give me the firstborn of your sons.

Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people.

Do the same with your cattle and your sheep; let them stay with their mothers for seven days, but give them to me on the eighth day.

Thou shalt not delay to offer the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy liquors: the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me.

You are to be holy to me. Do not eat meat torn by wild animals in the field; throw it to the dogs.

Likewise shalt thou do with thine oxen, and with thy sheep: seven days it shall be with his dam; on the eighth day thou shalt give it me.
