1

This is what the Lord God says: The gate of the inner courtyard that faces east will remain closed during the six working days. But on the Sabbath day and the day of the new moon, it will be opened.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.

2

The prince will enter from outside through the portico of the gate and stand by the gatepost. The priests shall offer his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he will bow down at the gateway of the gate. Then he will go out, but the gate will not be shut until evening.

And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go forth; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening.

3

The people of the land will bow down at the entrance of the same gate before the Lord on the Sabbaths and on the new moons.

Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD in the sabbaths and in the new moons.

4

The burnt offering that the prince will present to the Lord on the Sabbath day shall be six unblemished lambs and an unblemished ram.

And the burnt offering that the prince shall offer unto the LORD in the sabbath day shall be six lambs without blemish, and a ram without blemish.

5

The grain offering shall be one ephah for the ram, and for the lambs, a grain offering as much as he is able to give, along with a hin of oil for each ephah.

And the meat offering shall be an ephah for a ram, and the meat offering for the lambs as he shall be able to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah.

6

On the day of the new moon, the offering shall be a young bull without blemish, six lambs, and a ram, all unblemished.

And in the day of the new moon it shall be a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: they shall be without blemish.

7

He shall provide an ephah of grain offering for the bull, and an ephah for the ram, and for the lambs, whatever he is able to give, along with a hin of oil for each ephah.

And he shall prepare a meat offering, an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs according as his hand shall attain unto, and an hin of oil to an ephah.

8

When the prince enters, he must enter through the portico of the gate, and he must leave the same way.

And when the prince shall enter, he shall go in by the way of the porch of that gate, and he shall go forth by the way thereof.

9

When the people of the land come before the Lord at the appointed festivals, those who enter through the north gate to worship shall leave through the south gate, and those who enter through the south gate shall leave through the north gate. No one shall return through the gate by which they entered, but each must exit straight ahead.

But when the people of the land shall come before the LORD in the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it.

10

When they enter, the prince will enter among them, and when they leave, he will leave with them.

And the prince in the midst of them, when they go in, shall go in; and when they go forth, shall go forth.

11

During the festivals and appointed feasts, the grain offering shall be an ephah of flour for each bull, an ephah for each ram, and as much as one can give for the lambs, along with a hin of oil for each ephah.

And in the feasts and in the solemnities the meat offering shall be an ephah to a bullock, and an ephah to a ram, and to the lambs as he is able to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah.

12

When the prince makes a freewill offering, whether a burnt offering or peace offerings to the Lord, the gate that faces east shall be opened for him. He shall offer his burnt offering and his peace offerings just as he does on the Sabbath day. Then he shall go out, and the gate shall be closed after he leaves.

Now when the prince shall prepare a voluntary burnt offering or peace offerings voluntarily unto the LORD, one shall then open him the gate that looketh toward the east, and he shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, as he did on the sabbath day: then he shall go forth; and after his going forth one shall shut the gate.

13

Each day, you shall offer a one-year-old unblemished lamb as a daily burnt offering to the Lord. You must prepare it every morning.

Thou shalt daily prepare a burnt offering unto the LORD of a lamb of the first year without blemish: thou shalt prepare it every morning.

14

You shall also prepare a grain offering to accompany it every morning: one-sixth of an ephah of flour and one-third of a hin of oil to mix with the fine flour as a grain offering to the Lord. This is a perpetual statute.

And thou shalt prepare a meat offering for it every morning, the sixth part of an ephah, and the third part of an hin of oil, to temper with the fine flour; a meat offering continually by a perpetual ordinance unto the LORD.

15

Thus, they shall regularly prepare the lamb, the grain offering, and the oil every morning as a continual burnt offering.

Thus shall they prepare the lamb, and the meat offering, and the oil, every morning for a continual burnt offering.

16

This is what the Lord God says: If the prince gives a gift of part of his inheritance to one of his sons, it will belong to his sons; it is their possession by inheritance.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; If the prince give a gift unto any of his sons, the inheritance thereof shall be his sons'; it shall be their possession by inheritance.

17

If he gives a gift of part of his inheritance to one of his servants, it will only belong to the servant until the year of release. After that, it will revert to the prince. His inheritance is for his sons alone; it belongs to them.

But if he give a gift of his inheritance to one of his servants, then it shall be his to the year of liberty; after it shall return to the prince: but his inheritance shall be his sons' for them.

18

The prince must not take away any of the people’s inheritance by oppressing them or removing property from their possession. He is to give his sons their own inheritance from his property so that none of my people are driven from their rightful possession.

Moreover the prince shall not take of the people's inheritance by oppression, to thrust them out of their possession; but he shall give his sons inheritance out of his own possession: that my people be not scattered every man from his possession.

19

Then he brought me through the entrance that was at the side of the gate to the holy chambers facing north, which were for the priests. And there, I saw a place at the far west end.

After he brought me through the entry, which was at the side of the gate, into the holy chambers of the priests, which looked toward the north: and, behold, there was a place on the two sides westward.

20

He said to me, 'This is the place where the priests shall boil the guilt offering and the sin offering, and where they shall bake the grain offering, so they do not bring them out into the outer courtyard and thus consecrate the people.'

Then said he unto me, This is the place where the priests shall boil the trespass offering and the sin offering, where they shall bake the meat offering; that they bear them not out into the utter court, to sanctify the people.

21

Then he led me to the outer courtyard and brought me around to the four corners of the courtyard. And in each corner of the courtyard, I saw a separate courtyard.

Then he brought me forth into the utter court, and caused me to pass by the four corners of the court; and, behold, in every corner of the court there was a court.

22

In the four corners of the courtyard were enclosed courtyards, each forty cubits long and thirty cubits wide. They all had the same dimensions and were enclosed on all four sides.

In the four corners of the court there were courts joined of forty cubits long and thirty broad: these four corners were of one measure.

23

There was a row of stone ledges around each of the four courtyards, and beneath the ledges were places for boiling.

And there was a row of building round about in them, round about them four, and it was made with boiling places under the rows round about.

24

He said to me, 'These are the kitchens where the ministers of the temple will boil the sacrifices brought by the people.'

Then said he unto me, These are the places of them that boil, where the ministers of the house shall boil the sacrifice of the people.
