Verse 1
Bless the LORD, my soul! LORD my God, You are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty.
Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
Verse 2
You cover Yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent curtain.
Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters; He makes the clouds His chariot and walks on the wings of the wind.
Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:
Verse 4
He makes His messengers winds, His servants flames of fire.
Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:
Verse 5
He established the earth on its foundations, so that it will never be moved.
Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

You covered it with the deep like a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.
Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.

At Your rebuke they fled; at the sound of Your thunder they hurried away.
At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.
Verse 8
The mountains rose, the valleys went down to the place You established for them.
They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.
Verse 9
You set a boundary they cannot cross; they will never again cover the earth.
Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.
Verse 10
He sends springs into the valleys; they flow between the mountains.
He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.
Verse 11
They give drink to every wild animal; the wild donkeys quench their thirst.
They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.
Verse 12
The birds of the sky nest nearby; they sing among the branches.
By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches.
Verse 13
He waters the mountains from His upper chambers; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of Your works.
He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
Verse 14
He causes the grass to grow for the livestock and plants for people to cultivate, bringing forth food from the earth,
He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;
Verse 15
wine that gladdens human hearts, oil to make their faces shine, and bread that sustains their hearts.
And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.
Verse 16
The trees of the LORD are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon that He planted.
The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;
Verse 17
There the birds make their nests; the stork has its home in the fir trees.
Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.
Verse 18
The high mountains are for the wild goats; the rocks are a refuge for the hyraxes.
The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.
Verse 19
He made the moon to mark the seasons, and the sun knows when to set.
He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.
Verse 20
You bring darkness, and it becomes night, when all the animals of the forest come out.
Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.
Verse 21
The young lions roar for their prey, seeking their food from God.
The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.
Verse 22
The sun rises, and they withdraw and lie down in their dens.
The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.

Man goes out to his work and to his labor until evening.
Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.
Verse 24
How many are Your works, LORD! In wisdom You made them all; the earth is full of Your creatures.
O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
Verse 25
There is the vast and spacious sea, teeming with creatures beyond number, living things both large and small.
So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.
Verse 26
There the ships go to and fro, and Leviathan, which You formed to frolic there.
There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.
Verse 27
All creatures look to You to give them their food at the proper time.
These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.
Verse 28
When You give it to them, they gather it up; when You open Your hand, they are satisfied with good things.
That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.
Verse 29
When You hide Your face, they are terrified; when You take away their breath, they die and return to the dust.
Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.
Verse 30
When You send forth Your Spirit, they are created, and You renew the face of the earth.
Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.
Verse 31
May the glory of the LORD endure forever; may the LORD rejoice in His works.
The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.
Verse 32
He gazes at the earth, and it trembles; He touches the mountains, and they smoke.
He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.
Verse 33
I will sing to the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God while I live.
I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
Verse 34
May my meditation be pleasing to Him; as for me, I will rejoice in the LORD.
My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.
Verse 35
May sinners vanish from the earth, and may the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, my soul. Hallelujah!
Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.
