Verse 1
A Miktam of David: Guard me, O God, for I have taken refuge in You.
Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
Verse 2
I said to the LORD, 'You are my Lord; I have no good apart from You.'
O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
Verse 3
As for the holy ones who are in the land, they are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight.
But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
Verse 4
The sorrows of those who run after another god will multiply; I will not pour out their drink offerings of blood or take their names upon my lips.
Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
Verse 5
The LORD is my portion and my cup; You hold my lot secure.
The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
Verse 6
The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.
The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
Verse 7
I will bless the LORD who counsels me; even at night my innermost being instructs me.
I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
Verse 8
I have set the LORD always before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Verse 9
Therefore, my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my body also will rest secure.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
Verse 10
For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol, nor will You allow Your faithful one to see decay.
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Verse 11
You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
