Verse 1
To the choirmaster, a servant of the Lord, a psalm of David.
The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.
Verse 2
An oracle of transgression speaks to the wicked within his heart; there is no fear of God before his eyes.
For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.
Verse 3
For he flatters himself in his own eyes, thinking his iniquity will not be discovered or hated.
The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.
Verse 4
The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; he has stopped being wise and doing good.
He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.
Verse 5
He plans wickedness on his bed; he positions himself on a way that is not good; he does not despise evil.
Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
Verse 6
Lord, your steadfast love reaches to the heavens; your faithfulness to the clouds.
Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
Verse 7
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains; your judgments are like the great depths; O Lord, you preserve both man and beast.
How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
Verse 8
How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of men take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
Verse 9
They feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights.
For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
Verse 10
For with you is the fountain of life; in your light, we see light.
O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
Verse 11
Extend your steadfast love to those who know you, and your righteousness to the upright in heart.
Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.
Verse 12
Let not the foot of pride come upon me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.
There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
Verse 13
There the workers of iniquity have fallen; they are thrust down and unable to rise.
