Verse 1
To the chief musician, with stringed instruments, a contemplative psalm of David.
Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.
Verse 2
When the Ziphites came and said to Saul, 'Is David not hiding among us?'
Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.
Verse 3
God, save me by Your name, and vindicate me by Your power.
For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.
Verse 4
God, hear my prayer; listen to the words of my mouth.
Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
Verse 5
For strangers have risen against me, and ruthless ones seek my life; they have not set God before them. Selah.
He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.
Verse 6
Look, God is my helper; the Lord is among those who uphold my soul.
I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good.
Verse 7
He will bring evil back upon my enemies; in Your faithfulness, destroy them.
For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
Verse 8
With a freewill offering, I will sacrifice to You; I will praise Your name, LORD, for it is good.
Verse 9
For He has delivered me from every trouble, and my eye has seen the downfall of my enemies.
