1

For the chief musician, with stringed instruments. A Psalm of David.

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

2

Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer.

From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3

From the ends of the earth, I call to You when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

4

For You have been a refuge for me, a strong tower against the enemy.

I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

5

Let me dwell in Your tent forever; let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah.

For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

6

For You, O God, have heard my vows; You have given me the inheritance of those who fear Your name.

Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.

7

You will add days to the life of the king; his years will last for generations.

He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

8

May he sit enthroned before God forever; appoint steadfast love and faithfulness to guard him.

So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

9

So I will sing praise to Your name forever, fulfilling my vows day by day.
