I måneden Abib skal du holde påske for Herren din Gud; for i måneden Abib førte Herren din Gud deg ut av Egypt om natten.

Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to Yahweh your God; for in the month of Abib Yahweh your God brought you forth out of Egypt by night.

Du skal ofre påskelammet til Herren din Gud, av småfeet og storfeet, på det stedet som Herren skal velge for å la sitt navn bo der.

You shall sacrifice the Passover to Yahweh your God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which Yahweh shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there.

Du skal ikke spise syret brød sammen med det; i syv dager skal du spise usyret brød, det er trengselens brød, for du dro i hast ut av Egyptens land: slik skal du minnes dagen da du dro ut av Egypt alle dine levedager.

You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shall you eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for you came forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that you may remember the day when you came forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life.

Det skal ikke finnes noe surdeig hos deg innenfor alle dine grenser på syv dager; og kjøttet som du ofrer den første dagen om kvelden, skal ikke bli liggende til morgenen.

There shall be no yeast seen with you in all your borders seven days; neither shall any of the flesh, which you sacrifice the first day at even, remain all night until the morning.

Du må ikke ofre påskelammet innenfor noen av dine byporter, som Herren din Gud gir deg;

You may not sacrifice the Passover within any of your gates, which Yahweh your God gives you;

men på det stedet som Herren din Gud skal velge for å la sitt navn bo der, der skal du ofre påskelammet om kvelden, når solen går ned, på det tidspunktet da du dro ut av Egypt.

but at the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell in, there you shall sacrifice the Passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that you came forth out of Egypt.

Du skal steke og spise det på stedet som Herren din Gud skal velge, og om morgenen skal du vende tilbake til teltene dine.

You shall roast and eat it in the place which Yahweh your God shall choose: and you shall turn in the morning, and go to your tents.

I seks dager skal du spise usyret brød; og på den syvende dag skal det holdes en høytidssamling for Herren din Gud; du skal ikke utføre noe arbeid på den.

Six days you shall eat unleavened bread; and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to Yahweh your God; you shall do no work [therein].

Du skal telle syv uker fra det øyeblikket du begynner å skjære kronen av kornet, begynne å telle syv uker.

Seven weeks shall you number to you: from the time you begin to put the sickle to the standing grain shall you begin to number seven weeks.

Du skal feire ukefesten for Herren din Gud med et frivillig offer fra din hånd, som du skal gi etter som Herren din Gud velsigner deg:

You shall keep the feast of weeks to Yahweh your God with a tribute of a freewill-offering of your hand, which you shall give, according as Yahweh your God blesses you:

og du skal glede deg for Herren din Gud, du, din sønn, din datter, din tjenestegutt, din tjenestepike, levitten i dine byer, den fremmede, den farløse og enke som er blant dere, på det stedet som Herren din Gud skal velge for å la sitt navn bo der.

and you shall rejoice before Yahweh your God, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your man-servant, and your maid-servant, and the Levite who is within your gates, and the foreigner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are in the midst of you, in the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there.

Du skal huske at du var en slave i Egypt; og du skal akte på og gjøre disse forskriftene.

You shall remember that you were a bondservant in Egypt: and you shall observe and do these statutes.

Du skal holde løvhyttefesten i syv dager, etter at du har samlet inn fra treskeplassen din og vinpressen din.

You shall keep the feast of tents seven days, after that you have gathered in from your threshing floor and from your winepress:

Seven days shall you keep a feast to Yahweh your God in the place which Yahweh shall choose; because Yahweh your God will bless you in all your increase, and in all the work of your hands, and you shall be altogether joyful.

Tre ganger i året skal alle dine menn vise seg for Herren din Gud på det stedet han skal velge: i festivalen for de usyrede brød, ukefestivalen, og løvhyttefesten; og de skal ikke vise seg for Herren tomhendte.

Three times in a year shall all your males appear before Yahweh your God in the place which he shall choose: in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tents; and they shall not appear before Yahweh empty:

Hver mann skal gi etter evne, i henhold til den velsignelsen Herren din Gud har gitt deg.

every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of Yahweh your God which he has given you.

Du skal utnevne dommere og embedsmenn i alle dine byer, som Herren din Gud gir deg, etter dine stammer; og de skal dømme folket med rettferdig dom.

Judges and officers shall you make you in all your gates, which Yahweh your God gives you, according to your tribes; and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment.

Du skal ikke forvrenge rettferdigheten: du skal ikke vise gunst; heller ikke ta imot bestikkelse; for bestikkelse forblindet øynene til de vise og vrir ordene til de rettferdige.

You shall not wrest justice: you shall not respect persons; neither shall you take a bribe; for a bribe does blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.

Du skal følge det som er fullt rettferdig, så du kan leve og arve landet som Herren din Gud gir deg.

That which is altogether just shall you follow, that you may live, and inherit the land which Yahweh your God gives you.

Du skal ikke plante deg en Asjera av noen slags tre ved siden av Herrens Guds alter, som du lager deg.

You shall not plant you an Asherah of any kind of tree beside the altar of Yahweh your God, which you shall make you.

Heller ikke skal du reise deg en steinbauta; for det hater Herren din Gud.

Neither shall you set yourself up a pillar; which Yahweh your God hates.
