Verse 49

but the office of Aaron and his sonnes was to kyndle the fyre vpon the altare of burntofferynges, and vpon the altare of incense, and to all the busynes in the most holy, and to make attonement for the people, acordinge as Moses ye seruaunt of God commaunded.

Exod 27:1-8 : 1 And thou shalt make an altare of Firre tre, fyue cubytes longe & brode, yt it maye be foure square, & thre cubytes hye: 2 thou shalt make hornes vpon the foure corners of it, & shalt ouer laye it with brasse. 3 Make ashpanes, shouels, basens, fleshokes, cole panes. All ye apparell therof shalt thou make of brasse. 4 Thou shalt make a gredyron also like a nett, of brase, & foure brasen rynges vpon the foure corners of it: 5 from vnder vp aboute the altare shalt thou make it, so that the gredyron reach vnto ye myddest of the altare. 6 Thou shalt make staues also for the altare, of Fyrre tre, ouer layed with golde, 7 and shalt put the staues in the rynges, that the staues maye be on both the sydes of ye altare, to beare it withall. 8 And holowe with bordes shalt thou make it, like as it is shewed the in the mount.
Exod 30:10-16 : 10 And vpon ye hornes of it shall Aaron reconcyle once in a yeare, with ye bloude of the synneofferynge, which they shall offer that are reconcyled. This shal be done amonge youre posterities for this is the most holy vnto the LORDE. 11 And the LORDE spake vnto Moses, and sayde: 12 Whan thou nombrest the heades of the children of Israel, then shal euery one geue vnto the LORDE the reconcylinge of his soule, yt there happe not a plage vnto them, whan they are nombred. 13 Euery one that is tolde in the nombre, shall geue half a Sycle, after the Sycle of the Sanctuary: one Sycle is worth twentye Geras. This half Sycle shal be ye LORDES Heue offerynge. 14 Who so is in the nombre from twenty yeare and aboue, shal geue this Heue offerynge vnto ye LORDE. 15 The riche shal not geue more, and the poore shal not geue lesse in the half Sycle, which is geuen vnto the LORDE to be an Heue offerynge for the reconcylinge of their soules. 16 And this money of recocilinge shalt thou take of the children of Israel, & put it to the Gods seruyce of the Tabernacle of wytnes, that it maye be a remembraunce vnto the children of Israel before the LORDE, that he maye let himself be reconcyled ouer their soules.
Lev 4:20 : 20 & shal do with this bullocke, as he dyd with ye bullocke of the synofferinge: Thus the prest shal make an attonement for them, & it shall be forgeuen them.
Lev 8:1-9 : 1 And the LORDE spake vnto Moses, & sayde: 2 Take Aaron and his sonnes wt him, & their vestimentes, & the anoyntinge oyle, and a bullocke for a synofferynge, two rammes, and a maunde with vnleuended bred, 3 and call the whole congregacion together, before the dore of the Tabernacle of wytnesse. 4 Moses dyd as the LORDE commaunded him, and gathered the congregacion together vnto the dore of ye Tabernacle of wytnesse, 5 and sayde vnto them: This is it, that the LORDE hath commaunded to do. 6 And he toke Aaron and his sonnes, and wasshed them with water, 7 and put the albe vpo him, and girde him with the girdell, and put vpon him the yalowe tunycle, and put the ouerbody cote vpon him, and girde him vpon the ouerbody cote, 8 & put the brestlappe theron, and in ye brestlappe light and perfectnesse: 9 And set the myter vpon his heade. And vpon the myter euen aboue his fore heade, put he a plate of golde on the holy crowne: as ye LORDE comaunded Moses. 10 And Moses toke the anoyntinge oyle, & anoynted the Habitacion, and all that was therin, and consecrated it,
Lev 21:1-9 : 1 And the LORDE sayde vnto Moses: Speake to ye prestes ye sonnes of Aaron, & saye vnto the: A prest shal defyle him self vpo no soule of his people, 2 but vpon his nexte kynne yt belongeth vnto him: as vpon his mother, vpo his father, vpo his sonne, vpo his doughter, vpon his brother, 3 & vpon his sister, which is yet a virgin, & hath bene no mans wife (which belongeth vnto him) vpon her maie he defyle himself. 4 Morouer he shal not defyle him self vpo eny ruler in his people, to vnhalowe him self. 5 He shall make no crowne also vpon his heade, ner shaue of his beerd, nether shall they cut out eny markes i their fleshe. 6 They shalbe holy vnto their God, and not vnhalowe ye name of their God: for they offre the sacrifice of the LORDE, the bred of their God, therfore shal they be holy. 7 They shal take no whore, ner one that is defyled, or yt is put awaye from hir husbande, for he is holy vnto his God: 8 therfore shal he sanctifie him self, for he offreth the bred of thy God. He shal be holy vnto the, for I am holy, even the LORDE that sanctifieth you. 9 Yf a prestes doughter fall to whoringe, she shalbe burnt with fyre, for she hath shamed hir father. 10 He that is hye prest amonge his brethren, vpo whose heade the anoyntinge oyle is poured, and his hande fylled (yt he might be arayed with the vestimentes) shal not vncouer his heade, ner cut his clothes, 11 & shal come at no deed, & shal defyle him self nether vpon father ner mother. 12 He shall not go out of the Sanctuary, that he vnhalowe not the Sanctuary of his God. For ye crowne of the anoyntinge oyle of his God is vpon him, for I am the LORDE. 13 A virgin shal he take to wife, 14 but no wedowe, ner deuorsed, ner defyled, ner whore, but a virgin of his awne people shal he take to wife, 15 yt he vnhalowe not his sede amonge his people. For I am ye LORDE, which sanctifie him. 16 And ye LORDE talked wt Moses, & sayde: 17 Speake vnto Aaron, & saie: Yf there be a blemysh vpo eny of yi sede in yor generacions, the same shal not preasse to offre the bred of his God: 18 For who so euer hath a blemysh vpon him, shal not come nere, whether he be blynde, lame, with an euell fauoured nose, wt eny mysshappen membre, 19 or yt hath a broken fote or hande, 20 or is croke backed, or hath eny blemysh in the eye, or is gleyd, or is skyrvye or scaulde, or hath his stones broken. 21 Who so euer now of the sede of Aaron ye prest hath eny blemysh vpo him, shal not come nye to offre ye sacrifice of the LORDE. For he hath a deformyte. Therfore shall he not preasse vnto the bred of his God, to offre it. 22 Notwithstondinge he shal eate of the bred of his God, both of the holy, & of ye most holy:
Num 15:25 : 25 And so shal the prest make an attonement for the whole congregacion of the children of Israel, and it shalbe forgeuen them: for it is an ignoraunce. And they shal brynge these their giftes for an offerynge vnto the LORDE, and their synofferynge before the LORDE for their ignoraunce,
Num 16:16-17:13 : 16 And Moses sayde vnto Corah: Tomorow be thou & all yi companye before ye LORDE, thou, and they, & Aaron. 17 And take euery one his censer, and put incense therin, and come before the LORDE, euery one with his censer (that is two hundreth and fiftye censers) and both thou and Aaron take either his censer. 18 And euery one toke his censer, and put fyre therin, and layed incense theron, and came before the dore of the Tabernacle of witnes, and Moses and Aaron also. 19 And Corah gathered ye whole congregacio agaynst the before the dore of the Tabernacle of witnes. But ye glory of the LORDE appeared before ye whole congregacion. 20 And ye LORDE spake vnto Moses & Aaron, & sayde: 21 Separate youre selues fro this congregacio, yt I maye shortly consume them. 22 And they fell vpon their faces, & sayde: O God, thou God of the spretes of all flesh, yf one man haue synned, wilt thou therfore be wroth ouer the whole congregacion? 23 And the LORDE spake vnto Moses, & saide: 24 Speake to the congregacio, and saye: Come vp from ye dwellynge of Corah, and Dathan, and Abiram. 25 And Moses stode vp, & wente vnto Dathan & Abiram, & the Elders of Israel folowed him, 26 & he spake to ye cogregacio, & saide: Departe fro ye tentes of these vngodly me & touche nothinge yt is theirs, yt ye perishe not in eny of their sinnes. 27 And they gat them vp from the dwellynge of Corah, Dathan, & Abiram. But Dathan and Abira came out, and stode in the dore of their tentes, with their wyues, and sonnes and children. 28 And Moses sayde: Hereby shal ye knowe that the LORDE hath sent me, to do all these workes, and that I haue not done them of myne awne hert. 29 Yf these men dye the comon death of all men, or be vysited as all men are vysited, then hath not the LORDE sent me. 30 But yf the LORDE make a new thinge, and the earth open hir mouth, and swalowe them with all that they haue, so yt they go downe quycke in to hell, the shal ye knowe, that these men haue blasphemed the LORDE. 31 And wha he had spoke out all these wordes, ye groude cloue asunder vnder the, 32 & the earth opened hir wouth, & swalowed the, wt their houses, & all the me yt were wt Corah, & all their substauce, 33 and they wente downe quycke in to the hell, with all that they had. And the earth closed vpo them, & so they perished from amonge ye congregacio. 34 And all Israel yt were aboute the, fled at ye crye of the, for they sayde: That ye earth swalowe not vs also. 35 Morouer the fyre came out fro the LORDE, and consumed the two hundreth and fyftye men, that offred the incense. 36 And the LORDE spake vnto Moses, & sayde: 37 Speake to Eleasar ye sonne of Aaron ye prest, yt he take vp ye censers out of ye burninge, & scater ye fyre here & there 38 (For the censers of these synners are halowed thorow their soules) yt they maye be beate in to thinne plates, & fastened vpon ye altare. For they are offred before ye LORDE, & halowed: and they shalbe a token vnto ye childre of Israel. 39 And Eleasar the prest toke ye brasen censers which they yt were burnt, had offred, & bet the to plates, to fasten the vpon ye altare 40 for a remebraunce vnto ye children of Israel yt no straunger (and he that is not of ye sede of Aaron) come nye to offre incense before the LORDE, yt it happe not vnto him as vnto Corah and his companye, acordynge as the LORDE sayde vnto him by Moses. 41 On the nexte morow murmured ye whole congregacion of ye childre of Israel against Moses & Aaro, & saide: Ye haue slayne ye people of ye LORDE. 42 And whan the cogregacio was gathered agaynst Moses & Aaro, they turned the towarde ye Tabernacle of witnes And beholde, the ye cloude couered ye Tabernacle, & ye glory of ye LORDE appeared. 43 And Moses & Aaro wete in before ye Tabernacle of witnes. 44 And ye LORDE spake vnto Moses & sayde: 45 Get you out of this cogregacion, I wil shortly consume the. And they fell vpon their faces. 46 And Moses sayde vnto Aaron: Take the ceser & put fyre therin fro of the altare, & laye incese theron, & go soone to the cogregacion, & make an attonement for them. For the wrath is gone out from the LORDE, and the plage is begone amonge the people. 47 And Aaron dyd as Moses sayde, & ranne in the myddest amonge ye congregacio. And beholde, ye plage was begone. And he burnt incese & made an attonemet for the people, 48 & stode betwene the deed & the lyuynge, and the plage ceassed. 49 But there were fourtene thousande, and seue hundreth deed in the plage, besydes them that dyed aboute the busynesse of Corah. 50 And Aaron came agayne vnto Moses before the dore of the Tabernacle of witnesse. And the plage ceassed. 1 And ye LORDE spake vnto Moses, & sayde 2 Speake to the children of Israel, & take of the twolue staues, of euery captayne of his fathers house one, and wryte euery mans name vpon his staffe. 3 But Aarons name shalt thou wryte vpon the staffe of Leui. For euery heade of their fathers house shal haue a staffe. 4 And laye the in the Tabernacle of witnesse, before the witnesse where I testifie vnto you. 5 And loke whom I shall chose, his staffe shal florishe, yt I maye stylle the grudginges of the children of Israel, which they grudge agaynst you. 6 And Moses spake vnto the childre of Israel, & all their captaynes gaue him twolue staues, euery captayne a staffe, after ye house of their fathers. And Aarons staffe was amonge their staues also. 7 And Moses layed the staues before the LORDE in the Tabernacle of witnesse. 8 On the morow wha Moses wete in to ye Tabernacle of witnesse, he foude yt Aaros rodde of the house of Leui florished, and brought forth blossoms, & bare allmondes. 9 And Moses brought forth all ye staues fro ye LORDE before all ye childre of Israel, that they might se it. And they toke euery ma his staffe. 10 The LORDE sayde vnto Moses: Bringe Aaros staffe againe before the wytnesse, yt it maye be kepte for a toke to the children of rebellion, that their murmuringes maye ceasse fro me, lest they dye. 11 Moses dyd as ye LORDE comaunded him. 12 And ye childre of Israel sayde vnto Moses: Beholde, we cosume awaie, we are destroied, & perishe. 13 Who so cometh nye ye dwellynge place of ye LORDE, he dyeth. Shal we the vtterly cosume awaie?
Deut 18:1-8 : 1 The prestes, the Leuites, all the trybe of Leui shal haue no parte ner enheritaunce wt Israel. The offerynges of ye LORDE & his enheritaunce shal they eate. 2 Therfore shal they haue no inheritaunce amonge their brethren, because the LORDE is their enheritauce, as he hath saide vnto the 3 This shalbe ye prestes dutye of the people, & of the that offre, whether it be oxe or shepe, so that they geue vnto the prest the shulder and both the chekes, and the brest. 4 And the first frutes of thy corne, of thy wyne and of thy oyle, and the first of thy shepe sheringe. 5 For the LORDE thy God hath chosen him out of all thy trybes, to stonde and mynyster in the name of the LORDE, he and his sonnes all the dayes of their life. 6 Yf a Leuite come out of eny of thy gates or out of eny place of all Israel, where he is a gest, and cometh with all the desyre of his soule (vnto the place which the LORDE hath chosen) 7 to mynister in the name of the LORDE his God, like as all his brethren ye Leuites, which stonde there before the LORDE, 8 the shal he haue like porcion of meate with the other: besydes that which he hath of the solde good of his fathers.
Deut 34:5 : 5 So Moses ye seruaunt of the LORDE died there in the londe of the Moabites, acordinge vnto the worde of ye LORDE.

Lev 1:5 : 5 And he shall kyll the yonge oxe before ye LORDE: and ye prestes Aarons sonnes shal brynge the bloude, and sprenkle it rounde aboute vpon the altare, that is before the dore of the Tabernacle of wytnesse.
Lev 1:7-9 : 7 And the sonnes of Aaron the prest shal make a fyre vpon the altare, 8 and laye wod aboue theron: and ye peces, the heade, and the fatt shal they laye vpon the wodd that lyeth vpon ye fyre on the altare. 9 But ye bowels & legges shal be wasshen with water, and the prest shal burne alltogether vpon the altare for a burntsacrifice: this is an offerynge of a swete sauoure vnto the LORDE.
Exod 29:33 : 33 for there is an attonement made therwith, to fyll their handes, that they maye be consecrated. A strauger shal not eate therof, for it is holy.
Exod 29:36-37 : 36 and offer a bullocke daylie for a synne offeringe, because of them yt shalbe reconciled. And thou shalt halowe the altare, whan thou reconcylest it: & shalt anoynte it, that it maye be consecrated. 37 Seuen dayes shalt thou reconcyle the altare, & consecrate it, that it maye be an altare of the Most holy. Who so wyll touch the altare, must be consecrated.
