And they answered, and saide vnto him: We can not tell. And Iesus answered, and sayde vnto them: Nether tell I you, by what auctorite I do these thinges.

I can not rede. 13 Therfore thus sayeth the LORDE: For so moch as this people draweth nye me wt their mourh, and prayseth me highly with their lippes (where as there herte neuertheles is farre fro me, and the feare which they owe vnto me, that turne they to mens lawes and doctrynes) 14 therfore wil I also shewe vnto this people, a maruelous terrible and greate thinge (Namely this:) I wil destroye the wisdome of their wise, and the vnderstodinge of their lerned men shal perish.
Isa 42:19-20 : 19 But who is blynder, the my seruaunt? Or so deaf, as my messaungers, whom I sent vnto them? For who is so blynde as my people, & they yt haue the rule of them? 20 They are like, as yf thou vnderstodest moch, and keptest nothinge: or yf one herde well, but were not obedient.
