For they yt are soch, serue not the LORDE Iesu Christ, but their awne belly: & thorow swete preachinges & flateringe wordes, they disceaue ye hertes of ye innocentes.

1 Sam 2:29 : 29 Why layest thou thy selfe then agaynst my sacrifices and meatofferinges, which I commaunded (to offer) in the habitacion: and thou honourest thy sonnes more then me, that ye mighte fede youre selues with the firstlinges of all the meatofferynges of my people of Israel?

He saide: Go vp, and ye shal prospere. It shal be geue you in youre handes. 15 But ye kynge sayde vnto him: I charge ye yet agayne, that thou tell me nothinge but ye trueth in the name of the LORDE. 16 Then saide he: I sawe all Israel scatered abrode vpo the mountaynes, as the shepe yt haue no shepherde. And the LORDE sayde: Haue these no lorde? Let euery one turne home agayne in peace. 17 The sayde the kynge of Israel vnto Iosaphat: Dyd not I tell the, yt he wolde prophecie me no good, but euell?
Ps 19:7 : 7 The lawe of the LORDE is a perfecte lawe, it quickeneth the soule. The testimony of ye LORDE is true, & geueth wisdome euen vnto babes.
Ps 119:130 : 130 When thy worde goeth forth, it geueth light and vnderstodinge, eue vnto babes.

Isa 56:10-12 : 10 For his watchmen are all blinde, they haue alltogether no vnderstondinge, they are all domme dogges, not beinge able to barcke, they are slepery: slogish are they, & lie snortinge: 11 they are shamelesse dogges, yt be neuer sati?fied. The sheperdes also in like maner haue no vnderstondinge, but euery man turneth his owne waye, euery one after his owne couetousnes, wt all his power. 12 Come (saye they) I wil fetch wyne, so shal we fyll oure selues, that we maye be dronken. And do tomorow, like as to daye, yee and moch more.

Jer 28:1-9 : 1 And this was done in the same yeare: eue in the begynnynge of the reigne of Sedechias kinge of Iuda.But in the fourth yeare of the reigne of Sedechias kinge of Iuda, in the fifth Moneth, It happened, that Hananias ye sonne of Assur the prophet of Gabaon, spake to me in the house of the LORDE, in the presence of the prestes & of all the people, & sayde: 2 Thus saieth the LORDE of hoostes the God of Israel: I haue broke the yock of the kinge of Babilon, 3 and after two yeare will I bringe agayne in to this place, all the ornamentes of the LORDES house, yt Nabuchodonosor kinge of Babilon caried awaye from this place vnto Babilon. 4 Yee I will bringe agayne Iechonias the sonne of Ioachim the kinge of Iuda himself, with all the presoners of Iuda, (yt are caried vnto Babilon,) eue in to this place, saieth ye LORDE, for I wil breake ye yock of the kinge of Babilo. 5 Then the prophet Ieremy gaue answere vnto that prophet Hananias, before the prestes & before all the people that were present in the house of the LORDE. 6 And the prophet Ieremy sayde: Amen, the LORDE do that, & graunte the thinge, which thou hast prophecied: that he maye bringe agayne all the ornamentes of the LORDES house, & restore all the presoners from Babilon in to ths place. 7 Neuertheles, herken thou also, what I will saye, that thou & all the people maye heare: 8 The prophetes that were before vs in tymes past, which prophecied of warre, or trouble, or pestilence, 9 ether of peace, vpon many nacions & greate kingdomes, were proued by this (yf God had sende them in very dede) when the thinge came to passe, which that prophet tolde before.
Jer 28:15-17 : 15 Then sayde the prophet Ieremy vnto ye prophet Hananias: Heare me (I praye the) Hananias: The LORDE hath not sent the, but thou bringest this people in to a false beleue. 16 And therfore thus saieth ye LORDE: beholde, I wil sende the out of the lode, & within a yeare thou shalt die, because thou hast falsely spoke agaynst the LORDE. 17 So Hananias the prophet died the same yeare in the seuenth Moneth.
Ezek 13:16 : 16 These are the prophetes of Israel, which prophecie vnto the cite of Ierusalem, & loke out visions of peace for them, where as no peace is, saieth the LORDE God.
Ezek 13:19 : 19 and dishonoure me to my people, for an handfull of barly, & for a pece of bred: when ye kyll the soules of them that dye not, & promyse life to them, that lyue not: Thus ye dyssemble with my people, yt beleueth yor lies.

2 Pet 2:18-20 : 18 For they speake ye proude wordes of vanite, vnto ye vttemost, and entyse thorow wantannes vnto ye luste of the flesh, euen them that were cleane escaped, and now walke in erroure: 19 and promyse them libertye, where as they them selues are seruauntes off corrupcion. For off whom so euer a man is ouercome, vnto the same is he in bondage. 20 For yf they (after they haue escaped from the fylthynes of the worlde, thorow the knowlege of ye LORDE and Sauioure Iesus Christ) are yet tangled agayne therin and ouercome, then is the latter ende worse vnto them then the begynnynge.
1 John 4:1-3 : 1 Dearly beleued, beleue not ye euery sprete, but proue the spretes, whether they be of God. For many false prophetes are gone out in to the worlde. 2 Hereby shal ye knowe the sprete of God: Euery sprete which confesseth, that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God: 3 And euery sprete which confesseth not that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is not off God.
