3For what if some were without faith? shall their want of faith make of none effect the faithfulness of God?
5Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
6But if it is by grace, it is no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace.
7What then? that which Israel seeketh for, that he obtained not; but the election obtained it, and the rest were hardened:
8according as it is written, God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear, unto this very day.
11I say then, Did they stumble that they might fall? God forbid: but by their fall salvation [is come] unto the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy.
12Now if their fall, is the riches of the world, and their loss the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
30What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who followed not after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith:
13though I was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: howbeit I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief;
4Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
5but after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up for thyself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
39And these all, having had witness borne to them through their faith, received not the promise,
40God having provided some better thing concerning us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect.
15For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.
16So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that hath mercy.

18And when they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then to the Gentiles also hath God granted repentance unto life.
1Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we faint not:
2For therein the elders had witness borne to them.
30Yet many years didst thou bear with them, and testifiedst against them by thy Spirit through thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the peoples of the lands.

23and that he might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he afore prepared unto glory,
12that ye were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
