1 Og Herrens ord kom også til meg, og sa:

The word of Jehovah also came unto me, saying,

2 Menneskesønn, du bor midt blant et opprørsk folk. De har øyne, men ser ikke, de har ører, men hører ikke; for de er et opprørsk folk.

Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of the rebellious house, that have eyes to see, and see not, that have ears to hear, and hear not; for they are a rebellious house.

3 Derfor, menneskesønn, pakk deg eiendeler for å dra i landflyktighet, og flytt på dagtid mens de ser på; flytt fra sted til sted mens de ser på, så de kanskje tenker over det, selv om de er et opprørsk folk.

Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house.

4 Ta med deg eiendelene dine på dagtid mens de ser på, som eiendeler for å dra i landflyktighet; og dra selv ut ved skumringen mens de ser på, som om du går i eksil.

And thou shalt bring forth thy stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for removing; and thou shalt go forth thyself at even in their sight, as when men go forth into exile.

5 Bryt hull i veggen mens de ser på, og ta det med deg ut der.

Dig thou through the wall in their sight, and carry out thereby.

6 Bær det på skulderen om natten mens de ser på, og ta det med deg ut i mørket; dekk til ansiktet ditt, så du ikke ser landet; for jeg har gjort deg til et tegn for Israels hus.

In their sight shalt thou bear it upon thy shoulder, and carry it forth in the dark; thou shalt cover thy face, that thou see not the land: for I have set thee for a sign unto the house of Israel.

7 Og jeg gjorde som jeg ble pålagt: Jeg tok med meg eiendelene mine på dagtid, som eiendeler for å dra i landflyktighet, og om kvelden brøt jeg gjennom veggen med hånden min; jeg tok det med meg ut i mørket og bar det på skulderen mens de så på.

And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for removing, and in the even I digged through the wall with my hand; I brought it forth in the dark, and bare it upon my shoulder in their sight.

8 Om morgenen kom Herrens ord til meg, og sa:

And in the morning came the word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

9 Menneskesønn, har ikke Israel, dette opprørske folket, sagt til deg: Hva gjør du?

Son of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said unto thee, What doest thou?

10 Si til dem: Så sier Herren Gud: Dette budskapet angår fyrsten i Jerusalem, og hele Israels hus som er blant dem.

Say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: This burden `concerneth' the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel among whom they are.

11 Si: Jeg er et tegn for dere. Slik jeg har gjort, skal det bli gjort med dem; de skal gå i eksil, i fangenskap.

Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done unto them; they shall go into exile, into captivity.

12 Og fyrsten blant dem skal bære på skulderen sin i mørket og gå ut; de skal bryte gjennom veggen for å bære det ut der; han skal dekke til ansiktet, så han ikke ser landet med øynene sine.

And the prince that is among them shall bear upon his shoulder in the dark, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall cover his face, because he shall not see the land with his eyes.

13 Jeg vil også kaste mitt nett over ham, og han skal bli fanget i min felle; og jeg vil føre ham til Babylon, til kaldeernes land, men han skal ikke se det, selv om han skal dø der.

My net also will I spread upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare; and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there.

14 Og jeg vil spre mot hver vind alle som er rundt ham for å hjelpe ham, og alle hans tropper; og jeg vil trekke sverdet etter dem.

And I will scatter toward every wind all that are round about him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them.

15 Og de skal vite at jeg er Herren, når jeg sprer dem blant folkene og sprer dem gjennom landene.

And they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I shall disperse them among the nations, and scatter them through the countries.

16 Men jeg vil spare noen få av dem fra sverdet, hungersnøden og pesten for at de kan fortelle om alle sine avskyeligheter blant de folkene de kommer til; og de skal vite at jeg er Herren.

But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the nations whither they come; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.

17 Og Herrens ord kom til meg, og sa:

Moreover the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

18 Menneskesønn, spis brødet ditt med skjelving, og drikk vannet ditt med beven og frykt;

Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with fearfulness;

19 og si til folket i landet: Så sier Herren Gud om innbyggerne i Jerusalem og Israels land: De skal spise sitt brød med frykt og drikke sitt vann med forvirring. Slik skal landet bli lagt øde på grunn av volden til alle som bor der.

and say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fearfulness, and drink their water in dismay, that her land may be desolate, `and despoiled' of all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.

20 Og de byene som er bebodd skal bli ødelagt, og landet skal bli en ødemark; og dere skal vite at jeg er Herren.

And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be a desolation; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

21 Og Herrens ord kom til meg, og sa:

And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

22 Menneskesønn, hva er dette ordspråket dere har i Israels land som sier: Dagene dras ut, og hvert syn svikter?

Son of man, what is this proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth?

23 Derfor, si til dem: Så sier Herren Gud: Jeg vil få dette ordspråket til å opphøre, og det skal ikke mer brukes som et ordspråk i Israel; men si til dem: Dagene er nær, og fullbyrdelsen av hvert syn.

Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the fulfilment of every vision.

24 For det skal ikke mer være noen falsk visjon eller smigrende spådom i Israels hus.

For there shall be no more any false vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel.

25 For jeg er Herren; jeg vil tale, og det ord jeg skal tale, skal bli fullbyrdet; det skal ikke utsettes mer: for i deres dager, du opprørske folk, vil jeg tale ordet, og vil fullbyrde det, sier Herren Gud.

For I am Jehovah; I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall be performed; it shall be no more deferred: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I speak the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord Jehovah.

26 Igjen kom Herrens ord til meg, og sa:

Again the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,

27 Menneskesønn, se, Israels hus sier: Den visjonen han ser gjelder mange dager framover, og han profeterer om tider langt borte.

Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many day to come, and he prophesieth of times that are far off.

28 Derfor, si til dem: Så sier Herren Gud: Ingen av mine ord skal lenger utsettes, men det ord jeg taler, skal bli oppfylt, sier Herren Gud.

Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: There shall none of my words be deferred any more, but the word which I shall speak shall be performed, saith the Lord Jehovah.
